We're in for an interesting weekend seeing who can actually adapt best to this sudden shift in the blown diffuser regulations.

The FIA dropping a decision like this just a few days before a Grand Prix? It definitely feels a little suspicious to me.🤷

I’m not entirely convinced that 90% of the grid is actually running blown diffusers. Even for those who are, the efficiency levels seem to vary wildly from one team to the next. From what I understand, Red Bull is reaping the biggest rewards out of it, which really makes me wonder how this is going to impact Renault and their front exhaust setup. It's an interesting puzzle, isn't it?

The qualifying sessions in San Francisco-California might finally give us some real clarity on who's coming out on top and who's falling behind with these changes.

That is, if the FIA doesn't go ahead and pull a total U-turn by changing or scrapping the DRS rules entirely.

God, what an idiot move🤣

Are they out of their minds? Canceling stuff just a few days before the race🤦

Well, it wasn't exactly just a few days before the race—the teams actually got the directive about ten days ago. But honestly, that doesn't even matter now because they've already scrapped the whole thing regarding the "delayed" ignition. What a complete circus this is.

And I was actually thinking about tuning in to watch the race in San Francisco-California. I absolutely loathe that track.

Why wasn't the same decision made before the season even started?
We knew the effects were coming. We just had no clue how they’d actually play out for each team.

Look, this isn't the first time they've decided to change the rules mid-season... It’s basically become a regular occurrence.

But really, what else can you actually expect from the FIA?
It’s basically their signature move at this stage, something we've seen play out countless times before.

Just something normal.👍
If this doesn't end up "complicating" the championship, they might as well pass a rule in a few races saying F1 cars need three wheels.☕

What an absolute circus the FIA is running right now.
Honestly, it feels like they can't even tell north from south, let alone make a coherent decision when it actually matters.

It’s just one constant loop of yes, no, maybe, yes, no—it's completely dizzying.

Just goes on and on and on...

edit—and before anyone asks, I'm not trolling, spamming, or derailing the thread here.

Don't sweat it too much; at the end of the day, we're really just looking at a minor adjustment of a few hundred lines of code. 🤣🤣🤣It’ll likely amount to nothing, just some mechanical technicality. Besides, isn't it true that almost everyone already has their old exhausts sitting around ready to go? 😬

😂😂😂😂😂
I suppose we should have seen this coming, shouldn't we? It felt inevitable that someone would step up to make a scene over this, eventually forcing the hand of those in charge to back down and soften their stance. 🤦

I’m betting one of the loudest voices against the ban was Red Bull. I mean, you saw all those statements coming from Horner after they banned BD.

I'd have gone with McLaren and MGP before them.😉

And they definitely stirred the pot with Sauber; feels like they were just setting the stage for this race.😂

The ban itself wouldn't even touch Red Bull. They're still sitting at No. 1—the real question is who takes No. 2.☕

I guess Pirelli is bringing some new tires for the race in the US that are supposed to last longer, after testing them out in Turkey. We'll see how they hold up 🙂
