Issues with Word

I know this sounds like a total rookie move to you guys, but it’s driving me absolutely insane, so if anyone can help, I’d appreciate it. So, here's the deal: I’ve got this document with 15 pages of solid text, but then there’s this 16th page just sitting there, completely blank, and for some reason, I can't get rid of it. It just won't budge. Any advice?

Obviously the page isn't empty—if it were, we wouldn't be having this conversation... you probably just have some stray empty lines or random spaces lurking in there. Try selecting the entire document (ctrl+a) and you'll see exactly what's actually being highlighted on that last page.

just scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, highlight everything right up to the text, and hit delete... or just mash backspace until it's gone

The issue is likely that you have a Page break, a Section break, or perhaps a table at the end of page 15. For whatever bizarre reason, Microsoft Word insists on inserting an extra line immediately following a table—it's one of those annoying little quirks. If that happens to be the case, try selecting that pesky extra line and setting the font size to 1.

Look, you might want to try fixing this by messing with the Page Setup settings—specifically, just go in there and dial back those top and bottom margins.

HOW DO I GET AMERICAN ENGLISH AND ACTUALLY USE IT IN WORD????

So, I’ve got my laptop, drivers are all set, everything is working fine—except for the fact that Office is stuck in English (I picked up this piece of junk at an Best Buy back when, like, three years ago).
Anyway, what I really need to know is: where can I download Word in American English (if that’s even a thing) and how do I actually get it installed?

I'm talking about Microsoft Office—you know, Word, Excel, even Paint😉.

If you’re actually looking for some incognito experience, then you have to go about asking for it incognito—otherwise, what’s even the point? It isn't really "under the radar" anymore if you're shouting it from the rooftops. 😁

You really ought to get some basic American grammar and spelling installed in that brain of yours first. No offense intended. But... ugh. Honestly, it doesn't even matter right now...
Just say which version of Word you want in English. 2003 or 2007?

Yeah, obviously. The Office suite includes PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, Picture Manager—all that stuff. Not Paint, for God's sake. And yeah, it installs right along with Windows...
You can't just download a single word by itself. It doesn't work like that—you have to grab the language pack and then run an update on your existing Office installation to switch everything over to the language you actually want... 🙂
