how's the cleanup operation going? 🙂

The cleanup is slowly getting moving... and you know how it goes, I call a friend, he calls his guy, then that guy calls someone else, then they get back to me... It's a stretch to think we can find a quick shortcut where I just hand you a direct number to a guy who knows the situation and will handle things exactly how you want them done 😉

Benjamin Thomas2 said:The whole thing is starting to move... honestly, my way of handling this is just calling a buddy, who calls his guy, who calls his contact, and eventually, I’m getting you the direct line to someone who actually knows what's up and can handle things exactly how you want them 😉

That might actually be the best way to play it

Lately, I've been trying to cut through the red tape by just connecting people directly

I'll work around their schedule—whenever they want to roll up with the truck, I'll either be there myself or send someone else to meet them

We've got concrete being poured tomorrow, so we'll definitely be on-site in the afternoon

I'll try to get everything organized for tomorrow... I won't be in NYC until the day after tomorrow afternoon, but I'll be handling things from my phone.

ok

we'll be there from 2:00 onwards tomorrow.
they could even swing by earlier and haul it away before the sand delivery guy shows up—at least then we can get closer to the drop-off point.

Basically, whenever they can make it work, it'll be great.🙂

Another work party this Saturday

Looking for at least 4 guys to help with some heavy digging 😁
The bathroom plumbing is all set and the tiling is finished
Now we just need to dig a trench by the bathroom exit to connect the indoor lines to the outdoor setup

Still hunting for someone to handle the baseboards and thresholds

Got a truck coming tomorrow to haul away all the massive amounts of debris—so there might be some cleanup left to do in the yard later on

Nope

I can't carry the whole load myself—nobody else seems to be stepping up.

So where did we hit a wall? Just tell me what else needs to get done.

Exactly my point... seriously, just give me a heads-up on what's left to do, because we aren't about to just sit here and do nothing...

help us get this campaign across the finish line

so many projects get kicked off but just end up sitting there half-done

Angela Newman33 said:help us wrap up that fundraiser

Too many projects get kicked off and then just left hanging in mid-air like half-finished basement renovations.

Look, I’m speaking for myself here, but honestly, I bet everyone else feels the same way... we’ve all got our own jobs, families, and endless headaches to deal with, plus we're sports fans—which basically means we're already dealing with the biggest headache in the country. I mentioned this before, but you really need to pick up the phone or at least drop a reminder here on the forum. People just get buried under the daily grind and lose track of things... just some friendly advice from my corner of the world.

Look, a close friend of ours is literally fighting for his life right now. He was the sole provider for his family, so at this exact moment, he needs any kind of support—especially financial help—and everything else is just noise. I’m sure you can find plenty of volunteers on other subforums who spend their days trashing our fans but turn out to be much bigger philanthropists than we are🤷. This guy was actually one of the most dedicated people whenever you organized those community service drives

Hey, I've got my own life and my own stuff going on too, and I don't plan on bothering anyone or dragging them along by the arm.

This is just a heads-up that the drive is still active (and it wasn't just posted here—it's been shared on other forums where people were actually showing interest before)

I just hope the guy pulls through.

Mario "Ball" Galić—he’s this big, burly guy who showed up to help out the day we were cleaning up those trash bins. Post some photos from the cleanup and I'll point him out to you.
Some cop shot him a few days ago, and then they kept him pinned down for two hours, beating an injured man while refusing to call an ambulance.

Anyone hanging around the Columbus or Springfield area with a car and some extra time, hit me up

I’m also thinking about anyone commuting from the Columbus area toward Chicago who might have some spare trunk space for a package

I'm trying to get a shipment over to a family out near Springfield, but they’re pretty much stuck—they don't have a car, so catching a bus, a train, or even getting to the FedEx office isn't really an option for them

The thing is just way too bulky to send via standard shipping

We’re looking for someone who’s frequently on the Amtrak route to help us deliver some relief packages to families over in Cleveland.
