The Make-A-Wish Foundation is looking for some sponsors or donors to help us out with a few liters of juice and some snacks for a free art workshop we're running this week (this Thursday starting at 7 PM) for kids in need.

This is actually the second one in our series—we'll be hosting it at our space over on Broadway 181. It’s perfect for kids aged 5 and up.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is handling all the instructors, volunteers, supplies, and even the transportation for the kids, but we could really use a little hand with the refreshments.
It doesn't have to be a huge gesture since we're keeping the group small—just about 12 to 15 kids total.

So, just thinking along the lines of some juice, pretzels, snack sticks, or whatever.

If you have any questions or want to sign a kid up for the workshop, just hit us up at info@malizmaj.hr or give us a call at 091 567 0618

Heads up: we’re hosting a massive watch party at the fan club starting at 5 PM today. Every cent pulled from this party goes straight toward fixing up the playground at the Warsaw elementary school. We're also dropping the official merch tonight—exclusive shirts made specifically for this cause. Come grab one and help out. See you there.

Yeah, it will. It’s looking like it’ll last two or three months. This year, even our water polo squad competing in the boat race in Mobile, AL, is jumping in on the promotion under the name Make-A-Wish Foundation.

On Friday, September 7th, between 2 PM and 7 PM, we’re hosting a blood drive over at Petrovich 3. The American Red Cross reached out because their blood supplies are looking pretty thin right now, and honestly, we always step up when they call. We’re asking everyone here to get involved—spread the word to your crew, your friends, your coworkers... especially those people who are always the first ones in line to talk trash about the fans and everything we do.
Also, for all you guys who have nothing better to do than spend twenty-four hours a day trolling, provoking people, being insulting, or acting like you know everything: why don't you actually do something useful for once? Put that energy toward something that actually helps someone recover or even fight for their life.
This is your chance to stop talking and actually show some real guts, kindness, and solidarity.

Five-year-old Stephanie Miller from San Diego has been diagnosed with a severe brain condition—Chiari malformation. She needs $250,000 for surgery in Chicago. The procedure at the Mayo Clinic under Dr. David Frum was confirmed on August 30th and is scheduled for September 27th. Her mother, Anita, works as a vendor with extended maternity leave benefits through her employer...
New diagnoses for his daughter. Her father, Ivica Peric, works as a waiter—he simply can’t pull together enough cash for her surgery on such short notice. They are pleading with everyone in the country to step up and help. Here is their full plea:

We’re asking for your help. We need the media to step up and use their platforms to help us reach a goal of $250,000. This money is for a critical surgery for five-year-old Stephanie Miller from San Diego. She was diagnosed earlier this year with a severe brain condition known as Arnold-Chiari malformation. Every bit of coverage helps us get there.

This life-saving surgery is the only way to save little Stephanie’s future and give her back the childhood she deserves. It has to happen right here in the States at the Mayo Clinic in Chicago under Dr. David Frum. The procedure was officially confirmed on August 30, 2012, and is scheduled for September 27, 2012. Her parents—Anita, a merchant qualifying for extended maternity leave due to her daughter's diagnosis, and Ivica, a waiter—simply cannot raise this massive amount of money on their own in such a short window. They are reaching out to every decent citizen, organization, artist, and corporation. Please, step up for little Stephanie. Speak out and get involved. We need to restore health to five-year-old Stephanie Miller and defeat the silent killer lurking inside her innocent child's head.

Stephanie Miller was born in Washington, D.C., on April 11, 2007. While she seemed like a perfectly healthy baby, her parents eventually noticed her motor skills weren't hitting the usual milestones. After a battery of tests, she was diagnosed as a neurodevelopmental risk. She started intensive therapy at The Giant, and thankfully, her condition is already showing improvement.

Last year, Stephanie started dealing with speech issues, trouble walking, intense headaches, and vision problems. By January 2012, after more testing at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Washington, D.C., she was diagnosed with Arnold-Chiari Malformation (ACM). It’s a developmental anomaly where parts of the brain stem fuse into the spinal canal. This messes up the circulation of cerebrospinal fluid and slows down its absorption. Along with the ACM diagnosis, they found a cyst between her cerebrum and cerebellum. The doctor told her parents an emergency surgery is necessary—if that bone growth encroaches on her cerebellum, Stephanie could end up paralyzed.

The surgery took place in Washington, D.C. on March 8, 2012, but unfortunately, there’s been zero improvement. When asked why things aren't getting better, the doctors just brushed it off, claiming these were "normal postoperative side effects." Total nonsense. An MRI from May 18, 2012, clearly identified massive failures in the treatment—findings that align perfectly with other medical opinions from Washington, D.C., Switzerland, and the US. Now, there's a possibility for the American health insurance authorities to help co-finance a corrective procedure here in the States, but they're hitting a wall of pure bureaucracy. The doctor who performed the initial surgery in Washington, D.C. is flat-out denying everything, contradicting every other expert opinion out there. He refuses to sign the necessary paperwork, effectively blocking the parents from requesting financial assistance from the relevant institutions. Through sheer persistence and courage to save their little princess, the parents used personal connections and a contact at a university in Chicago to reach out to an expert in this dangerous disease, Dr. David Frum. His assessment is now confirmed: the surgery is approved and scheduled. However, the cost for treatment in the US is staggering—$250,000, and that doesn't even include the extra expenses.

It’s worth noting that charity concerts are already being organized in San Diego to raise the massive amount of funds needed.

With surgery costs skyrocketing and a brutal deadline looming on September 27th, her parents and friends are stepping up. They know everyone is feeling the pinch right now with the economy being what it is, but they’re asking anyone willing to help to chip in whatever they can. Even a small amount helps give little Stephanie Miller a shot at a normal life.

To those who have already stepped up after hearing about this San Diego girl's situation—thank you. Seriously. Just so everyone knows, per financial advisors and US regulations for this drive, we've set up a dedicated donation account under Stephanie Miller's name. You can find all the campaign details on the Facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/anitaivica.milda

Thank you all so much in advance!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone. Truly.

Best to all you kind-hearted people out there!

The whole San Diego community is rallying behind this. We've got local sports teams, fans, and regular folks organizing massive events across the city all through this weekend and next week. Even supporters from Los Angeles and the LA Galaxy have jumped in. There's even a benefit concert happening in Indianapolis for little Stephanie. So, if you want to donate personally or start something in your own neighborhood or town, here is how.

You’ve probably seen the news coverage regarding the Palcic campaign and that upcoming concert happening this Friday at the Boston Celtics arena. It’s all part of a fundraising drive organized by the Palcic group to buy incubators for premature babies. One of our guys from the stands is actually running the show, so if you want tickets ($17), you can just shoot him a DM. If you’re looking to support the cause by grabbing a ticket, hit me up privately ().

A question for analogheron19: what is the current status of the Make-A-Wish Foundation campaign? When are they planning to break ground on the playground or whatever project is actually being built?
I mean, I'm wondering if the fundraising goal has been met or if they are still short on funds?
Thanks!

The campaign is still running because we're trying to pull in as much as possible. There's one active drive happening right now, and everything will be announced when the time comes.
Honestly, if people—and by people, I mainly mean the hardcore fans—had actually stepped up and backed this thing properly from the jump, that playground would already be built exactly where it was supposed to be.

This isn't about organizing some kind of movement or anything—I don't even know if this belongs here... but I stumbled upon this article on the news... It’s a heavy situation, especially when you're facing a "deadline" and you know your time is running short... You just try to do everything in your power for your own people. 😢 And looking at today—Friday—most people are heading out to hit the bar, grab a drink, and mess around because, hey, it's the weekend and you gotta live life... then you read this. Seeing how many people are dealing with such brutal struggles makes me feel ashamed for even thinking about trivial nonsense... I haven't had some grand moral epiphany, nor am I drunk 😛 but trying to imagine myself in that position makes you wonder: who would actually step up to help you? Nowadays, everyone seems immune to other people's misery and tragedy; they just shrug it off because it's "not their business." You read the news and just keep scrolling... A few days ago, there was a similar story on the portals about some drunken brawl in NYC where a man was pushed onto the subway tracks. He's screaming for help, trying to pull himself up, and people just stand there watching—everyone is caught up in their own little world and nobody gives a damn, maybe 2% care—and one photographer actually pulls out a camera and snaps a photo of the guy 3 or 4 seconds before the train kills him. No one reaches out a hand to pull him up; they just watch, and some guy even takes a picture to put on the front page 🤷—God, what a joke—if it weren't so tragic, it would be even more twisted... I know most people won't even pay attention to stuff like this because 90% of them couldn't care less—shoutout to the exceptions—but those who actually have heart will step up. People like this can only get help from those who truly feel their struggle or at least try to understand it. Here I am, wasting time reading nonsense online, and I stumble onto this... The article has a contact and a website with an account number, so I'll send over a little something tomorrow, since I can't afford anything huge... but I figure any bit helps, and it's the first time I've done more than just glance at an article like this; I actually want to help. I've messed up a lot of things, but if anyone feels like helping in any way, the details are all there... if I've gone off-topic, just let me know somewhere

I received a text today that really shook me, so I’m posting it here—hopefully, we can actually make some kind of difference. It’s about Joseph Potočnik, a single father. To keep it brief, you can read the full details through the links, but the gist is this: he was scammed by a charity that vanished with all the donations, he’s raising a young son alone after the mother left, and he can’t even speak due to throat cancer. Everything just keeps getting worse. It’s a grim situation, and I've been in touch with him.

Best regards... unfortunately, things are looking bleak. The doctors here have basically given up on me, saying they've done everything they can. I finally got the results back from a specialist clinic, and there might be a glimmer of hope if they can help me regain the ability to eat. I've been asked to come to the hospital this Saturday for three days of testing, but those exams would cost roughly $2,000. Honestly, I'm barely scraping by as it is, so I’m pleading with you—this might be my last shot. Please, if you can help me afford these tests, maybe even a fraction of the amount, let me know. Thank you.

His number is 098-137-9016. Please, don't call him—he can't speak because his esophagus was removed—just send a text. If you need anything else, let me know here or via PM.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 19th. We’re holding a massive blood drive over at Petrovich 3 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Here’s the kicker: medical staff are planning a strike starting the day before, so we really need everyone who can possibly show up to step up and make this a huge turnout. Spread the word to your crew, your friends, your family, your coworkers—doesn't matter if they're in the industry or not. Just try to talk them into joining you. That one single donation could be the literal difference between life and death for someone fighting to recover🙂. Don't just sit there being lazy; take a few minutes to reach out to people and nudge them toward this kind of humanitarian act if you have to. See you there.🙂

I happen to have an appointment right there on Friday... let's hope the strike doesn't mess with the blood drive... that would be less than ideal...
