Production on the Flash film for the MCU should finally get underway soon—after what feels like an eternity of delays. Ezra Miller is set to reprise the role, joined by Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton playing Batman.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't exactly riding a wave of hype for the Flash film, especially considering how desperately they mishandled his character in the Justice League movie and that rather questionable suit design, but then a little sneak peek surfaced over on the fan forums.

I feel like it’s almost a certainty now that we are looking at a screen adaptation of Flashpoint, because you can clearly see the Speed Force effects and Keaton's Batman, and when that final shot shows him pulling back the cover, I am about 99% convinced that what's sitting underneath is the 1989 Batmobile.

As far as the costume goes, it looks significantly better than that absolute eyesore from the Justice League era and feels much more true to the actual Flash. Even though I felt like Miller was a complete miscast from the very beginning, if they manage to pull the execution together properly, there is a chance this could turn out to be a phenomenal film.

Not gonna lie, I’m totally stoked with how it turned out. It's one of those rare movies I could actually watch over and over again.

There's a post-credits scene too, but honestly, who has the patience to sit through all that?🙂

What is actually going on with the CGI faces in this movie? They look way too artificial!

Top-tier filmmaking. Absolutely top-tier.

I’ll be real, the main reason I was even hyped for this movie was Michael Keaton. Honestly, the Flash himself didn't grab me much, especially with Ezra Miller in the mix.
But man, I have to eat my words here. I never in a million years thought I’d actually love how Ezrin handled that whole double interpretation thing.
He absolutely nailed the psychological profile of all those different personalities within the same character. 🙏🙏

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I genuinely hope the Flash gets a sequel.

If this movie doesn't finally kick the whole MCU in the right direction, then I seriously don't know what will.

It was such an insane feeling seeing Michael back in the Batsuit after 30 years.
And I think there are a few other things toward the end that would give any MCU fan a massive hit of Batman nostalgia.

One part totally blew my mind—I honestly never expected to see that, even for just a split second.

I feel like you guys are getting way too caught up in real life and what Ezra is actually like outside of work.
It doesn't really matter to me, though; I’m not sitting here watching some documentary about Ezra, I’m just trying to watch the Flash film.
Personally, I thought he was great in both versions of the Justice League.
It’s just a shame that Hollywood got a little too deep into his messy headspace—I guess a lot of people ended up walking away with more than just a few scratches.

Real talk, in JL he felt like a side character—not super engaging since he was overshadowed by such a massive lineup—but man, I’m totally eating my words now. I feel kind of embarrassed about what I said before!

I won't spoil it either. I liked the film and would definitely watch it again, but you can probably skip the end credits scene.

I snagged the Flash poster, and I already talked some girls into swapping with me. Good for them, good for me! 😬

That end credit scene kinda reminds me of when Thor was in a similar headspace.😁

So, looks like Muschietti is officially stepping up to direct The Brave and the Bold.

Extremely satisfied with the movie. Sure, the whole time travel thing raises plenty of questions—but honestly, which film with that theme doesn't? The action sequences were top-tier, especially the ones featuring Keaton. You actually manage to forget this is a Flash film instead of a Batman film. 😁

It looks incredibly bad, honestly like some PlayStation game from 2002.

The movie itself is fine—nothing mind-blowing, but it’s good.

I honestly couldn't even get into the movie because the CGI on the characters' faces was just so incredibly heavy-handed and distracting. It’s frankly embarrassing that a film with this kind of massive budget has such criminally bad visual effects!

Honestly, I had the exact opposite experience. I got so sucked into the movie that I didn't even give the special effects a second thought, though I did catch a few little things during that baby scene and elsewhere 🤔 but it didn't really jump out at me. Since I'm not some total perfectionist, it didn't bother me that much.
I was way more focused on the soundtrack, which is killer—especially when that classic Elfman's Batman theme kicked in.
Next time I go see it, though, I'll definitely try to pay closer attention to those effects.🍿

Honestly, the movie was a blast, mostly because of Keaton and that whole wave of Batman nostalgia.
Still, I found myself tripping over a hundred different plot holes regarding the whole time travel thing...
As for Supergirl, we basically saw her entire arc in the trailer, so it felt like a bit of a wasted opportunity.
Out of the two big cameos, I actually called one since the director let it slip himself 😵, but that second one at the end? I seriously didn't see him coming 🤣 Barry really did a number on the timeline.

I’m still chewing on that movie; usually, when I can’t stop thinking about a film, it means they actually nailed it.
It feels like DC just went all-in on multiverse fan service, almost like a spiritual successor to Spider-Man 3—if you can call a borrowed concept that. Honestly? It was a blast. It’s easily the best thing I’ve sat through since Endgame. Now, if you aren't a fan of Ezra, well, tough luck, because you're stuck with both of them. 😁 There are also these little gems tucked away that’ll make the hardcore theorists absolutely lose their minds. The moment that spider showed up, I knew exactly where this was heading. 😉
Look, there's no point in nitpicking too hard; at the end of the day, it’s a superhero flick meant for entertainment. I would have easily handed it a nine out of ten if it weren't for one glaring flaw that basically ruins some of the supposedly "legendary" moments.
Specifically, the CGI—especially the facial animations—looks like something straight out of the PS3 era. In this day and age, that kind of visual laziness is just inexcusable.
For me, it’s an 8/10. Definitely worth catching on the big screen.
