How to merge multiple short clips into one video and upload to YouTube

I need to get a short video—around 20 minutes—up on YouTube. The issue is that the footage is currently split into a bunch of different file types like .vob, .ifo, and .bup files. I have no clue how to merge all those fragments into a single, cohesive file that actually works for an upload. Also, what’s the gold standard for YouTube uploads? Should I be looking at MPEG-4, DivX, H.264, or something else entirely? Hopefully, I’ve laid out the situation clearly enough for you to follow. 🤷Thanks in advance!

1. You can upload videos up to about 10 minutes long in a single piece on YouTube.
2. I guess you could use one of those million video converters to turn it into a single format. Since .ifo and .bup aren't actually video formats, we're just talking about the actual content. If you convert everything to MPEG2 using iMovie, you could maybe just merge and save it as a .wmv file.
