Canon Pixma IP2000 troubleshooting help needed

I just swapped out my ink cartridges and everything is looking fine with the color, but the black isn't printing at all—it’s just spitting out blank white pages. Does anyone actually know what the deal is here or why this is happening? Thanks.

That printer is actually a beast when it comes to cost-per-page. Even though those ink tanks are pretty small, the replacement cartridges start at $1.75—which honestly blows some people's minds since refills can easily run you hundreds of dollars. I actually own a very similar model (the i250, which later became the i1500). Regardless, your machine uses the exact same BCI 21 and BCI 24 inks and shares the same print head.
