While most other runners possess natural talent, Usain Bolt is a supernatural force of nature. I am convinced he trains half as much as Gay and still leaves him in the dust.

I feel bad for Powell. Honestly, I thought he was going to take down that arrogant guy. But he just fell short.😢

He didn't underperform by that much, really. Even if he had run his absolute lifetime best, he still would have been neck-and-neck with Gay at the finish line...

I mean, I still remember the SP in Tokyo 1990 (or maybe it was 1991 🤔) when Carl Lewis clocked a 9.86. Back then, nobody—and I mean absolutely nobody—believed that record would be touched for at least another 10 or 15 years. Before that, the record holder was Calvin Smith with a 9.93.
Now look at yesterday—Daniel Bailey and Richard Thompson were flying. Asafa Powell was even two hundredths faster than Carl Lewis.

And Bolt? Dude was like 20 meters ahead. Just wow.

Even if we’re being super conservative about it, this guy is already one of the greatest sprinters to ever lace up a pair of spikes. Sure, people always throw shade and wonder if there's some banned stuff involved—results like that always raise eyebrows—but if he's clean, then I'm gonna do what robert says and tell my kids one day about how I actually saw Usain Bolt at his absolute peak.

Just a quick heads-up on the stats—Lewis actually broke Leroy Burrell's record (9.90) back then. He first tied Calvin Smith in '87 in Rome (9.93), and then finally beat him in '88 in Seoul (9.92).
That's, of course, without even bringing up Ben Johnson, who was beating him in both Rome and Seoul.

I suspect it’s mostly because he’s just in a league of his own. ☕Even right after the semifinals, it felt pretty obvious that Usain Bolt was untouchable; at that point, it seemed like it was just a matter of how much he’d shatter his own record. ☕
And I guess, why would you even call Bolt arrogant? 😕

Looking at this data, Usain Bolt clocked in at 1.61 seconds for that split from 60 to 80 meters. If you do the math—and I’ve been sitting here crunching these numbers for a bit—that works out to about 12.42 meters per second. When you convert that over to mph, we're looking at an absolutely insane 28 miles mph 😲

Ugh, why are you getting all worked up already? I finally figured out the chart 😉. My bad—won't happen again. 😁

He was almost hitting the speed limit for a city like 31 miles mph. 🙏🤣

If he were sprinting through downtown Chicago, a cop would've pulled him over. Sir, do you even realize what you just did? 🤣🤣

Yeah, that’s a pretty decent pace. I bet he hit that 20-meter mark even faster at some point—nothing crazy, but still... If I had to take a wild guess, he probably clocked in at 28 miles/h at one point. Seriously insane speed

Not really a huge follower, but after those lackluster Mediterranean Games, this caught me off guard. Hopefully, one of our girls in the discus can actually break into the finals. Aside from Blanka, that would be a pretty solid win for American athletics.

Usain Bolt

The guy pushed the limits so far it’s almost unreal. Honestly, I think he still has more in the tank—he's probably got sub-9.58 in him somewhere. I'm pretty sure about that.

He didn't just set a World Record; he set the Bolt Record.

He's still got the 200m and the relay coming up. In my opinion, he's unstoppable in the 200m too, and the US relay team is going to be a powerhouse since they've got three runners capable of dipping under 10 seconds.

When you really look at it, Usain could easily walk away with five golds from the World Championships and the Olympics.
100m, 200m, relay...
He mentioned starting training for the 400m, but I honestly think he could pull off a long jump too. He's got the raw speed; if he works on his takeoff, anything is possible.
🙏🙏🙏

It looks like Powell has finally accepted that Bolt is just on another level.
