rapidbison42 said:Who, me? Why does what we're talking about bother you so much? Who else is to blame when things fall apart? We aren't you.

You people live in your own little bubble. It was all Mexico's fault because they "calculated" wrong and lost to someone else, landing them third in the group. But suddenly, it's not their fault when you guys beat that very same Mexican team just a few days prior.

Now I see you guys churning out thirty pages of posts, whining about everything regarding LA Galaxy, while telling everyone else that it's always some "other guy's" fault.

Whatever. I didn't just jump into this out of nowhere; I was building on someone else's point about how a certain Canadian coach might be more successful than Ratko Rudić. Then you burst in with your list of medals. And then, the second something doesn't sit right with you or hits a nerve, suddenly I'm the one trolling. Fine, if that's how you want to play it.
And just a second ago, you're claiming Mexico has momentum because they made it to the World Championship semifinals. But all those other achievements—where it's hard to even find a competition without a medal—you conveniently forget to mention? Yet, for the Americans, you're citing the Olympics and whatnot.

Jack Lee77, can you walk me through this table for a second? What’s the deal with that 40/65 figure? Am I reading this right—is 40 the number of events already held, while 65 is the total count, meaning there are still 25 competitions left with 25 medals up for grabs?
Also, why on earth are there six columns next to every country? The only thing that makes sense to me is that the first three columns represent the medals won in the men's division, and the other three cover the women's.

Nicholas Morales48 As if we haven't seen this movie before. It’s like watching a rerun of a classic sitcom where you already know exactly which joke lands and which one just falls flat against the floor.
Jack Lee77, could you walk me through this table for a second? What exactly is that 40/65 figure supposed to signify? I'm wondering if it means we've seen 40 competitions go down so far out of a total of 65—basically implying there are still 25 events left and 25 medals still up for grabs.

Yeah, they've checked off 40 out of the 65 scheduled items so far.
There are still 25 left to go—23 in swimming and 2 for the USA Men's National Water Polo Team.

Nicholas Morales48 said:So, what’s the deal with that sixth column sitting next to every country? The only thing that makes sense to me is if those first three columns are the men's medals and the next three cover the women's.

I honestly think the table makes perfect sense. 😢

The medal standings after day 13 of the World Championships look exactly like you'd expect—just another predictable shuffle in the global rankings.Top six finishes.; 40/65):
01. 08 -- 05 -- 09 -- 02 -- 02 -- 02 China

So, here we go:
01.) 08 (gold) - - 05 (silver) - - 09 Bronze. - - 02 Fourth place. - - 02 Fifth place. - - 02 Sixth place.

Here’s the next chunk from the paper...

"- I believed we were in a good spot from the very start of the tournament. We're trending upward, and that’s encouraging. The real thing is for everyone to realize that it’s not a matter of *if* we play a game this heavy, but *when*, and we have to show up fully prepared. There's a massive weight on our shoulders here; it's an obligation for all of us to leave everything out there. The Americans are a powerhouse, but like I said, I believe in our squad and we're going for the win.
The USA Men's National Water Polo Team is coming off ten straight wins at the World Championships, so they definitely aren't lacking in confidence.
- Mexico is an incredibly strong team that deserves maximum respect. They've got depth in every position, and after their roster changes, they look highly motivated. Semifinals always bring that tension because you're hitting the home stretch, but we can't shy away from that. A match against Mexico isn't fundamentally different from any other game, except that we're fighting for medals—and we want the gold one. I don't expect any extra drama around the pool, either," said the USA coach, Ratko Rudić.
Despite the high stakes, one of the "Baracudas'" main pillars, Igor Hinić, still found a moment to crack a joke.
- Look, when we reach the semifinals, eight out of ten times we end up taking fourth place. Joking aside, I’m genuinely happy with how we’re playing here in Rome, and I think anything is possible against our neighbors. This match will likely come down to a single goal, but I honestly feel we’re just a notch above them, and we'll prove it by making it to the big final," said Hinić. "

"Udovičić: Silencing the critics

The Mexican captain, Vanja Udovičić, stepped up and took full responsibility for the comeback against the Canadians with some stellar play.
- I know plenty of critics wrote us off a long time ago, but we’ve shut them up now. We've checked one goal off the list, but we aren't finished yet. We just need to stay calm and patient and avoid those wild swings in performance. If we can stay consistent, success is ours; if not, there's no fixing it."

Jack Lee77 said:Honestly, if you actually take a second to look at the data, the whole table seems pretty damn logical to me. I mean, does anyone else see how it all lines up? 😢

So, we’ve officially hit day 13 of the World Championships, and I figured it was about time to take a look at the medal standings before things get even more chaotic. Honestly, who hasn't been obsessively checking the tally every few hours? It's getting pretty intense out there. Here’s how the leaderboard is looking right now:So, top six. That’s where we landed.; 40/65):
01. 08 -- 05 -- 09 -- 02 -- 02 -- 02 China

So, here we go:
01.) 08 I don't know, maybe we should just sit back and watch how this all plays out, right? - - 05 (silver) - - 09 (bronci) - - 02 Fourth place. That’s where we ended up. - - 02 Fifth place. That’s where we landed. - - 02 So, sixth place. That’s where we ended up. Is there anything more underwhelming than landing right in the middle of the pack? It’s that awkward spot where you aren't quite a failure, but you definitely didn't show up to win anything meaningful. Just... there.

Well, that’s certainly one way to kick things off, isn't it? Just a single word hanging there in the void like a lonely thought after a long night at a dive bar. Are we really doing this? Is this the grand opening statement for the discourse we're about to embark upon? I guess I'll just sit here and wait for the rest of the sentence to materialize out of thin air, won't I? 😁 Alright, thanks.

It’s gonna be a grind, but I trust our guys to take down the Mexicans 👍
If we actually lose today—God forbid, seriously though—I am officially done with betting for good 🙄 😁

I guess if you look at it one way, having fewer players on defense might actually be a slightly less total disaster than what we just saw.

From 2:00 to 3:4, it all happened right there in the first quarter.

An incredible player, though unfortunately offset by some pretty shaky defense.
