Hey there, I need to see a urologist about some issues down there, but I’m honestly lost on how the process actually works. Do I need to schedule an appointment ahead of time after getting a referral from my primary care doctor, or can I just grab a referral first and then call the specialist directly to book a slot? I'm based in Chicago, but truth be told, I've probably only stepped foot in a doctor's office twice in my entire life, so I have zero clue how this whole referral and scheduling dance is supposed to go. Thanks.
