And one more thing. Ignoring the 72.31% of people who actually wanted a chat section on the USA board is just senseless. If you admins think this is justified, then honestly, just shut down these three threads right now if we're going to be fair.🤷
It all started with what D@din said...
I have this urge to moderate your political threads, but when it comes to football or waving flags, I'm not interested in getting involved—nor do I care. If you want to talk about that stuff, I suggest we just start an off-topic thread for flags and sports, and talk there instead.

I wouldn't even bother moderating a chat like that. Maybe I'd step in for threats or doxxing, but otherwise? It’s the kind of stuff you wouldn't even tolerate at your local American dive bar—mostly just freedom to poke fun at each other and mock things.

Please, weigh in here.

Edit: I'm not talking about some crazy house; I'm talking about a single thread. A thread for flags, for games, for greetings, safe travels, birthday wishes, Eurovision, and all that other junk you usually drag through politics that isn't actually political.

There is massive dissatisfaction with how the USA subforum is being moderated, and it's been going on for a while. With this decision, you're once again ignoring the will of the majority. You administrators and moderators are the ones responsible for the downfall of the USA board. Except for D@de, because she's the only one who actually lowered herself to the level of an average forum user.👍

But see, it's really not the same thing at all, because if you actually look at the titles, it is super obvious that these specific topics fit perfectly under the subforum heading "On the edge of politics."

The chat thread in the USA section had absolutely nothing to do with USA politics, which was pretty clear from both the title and the actual content of the discussions.

The thread's dead because there's no point—regardless of how many people love this nonsense. 🙂🤷

The first chat thread got nuked because your own crowd flooded it with their brainless, chauvinistic outbursts. It all hit a breaking point when I dug up posts from one of them proving they're a professional troll—just like zabbbok pointed out.☕
It looks like the mods decided chat threads can't exist simply because a few people can't control themselves or hold a decent conversation. But why should everyone lose out just because two users can't act like adults? Just penalize those two—it's simple. Punishing the whole group for the sins of a tiny handful is lazy; targeting individuals instead of collective punishment is how things actually work.👍

It really seems like the moderators have decided that chat threads just can't exist anymore simply because a few people can't keep themselves in check or hold a civilized conversation, but I mean, why should everyone else lose out just because two users can't act like decent human beings? It would be so much better to just penalize those two specific individuals instead of making the whole community suffer for such a tiny group, because targeting people individually is definitely the right way to go rather than punishing everyone collectively.👍

And yet, you dove headfirst into a heated debate with those same "like-minded" folks of mine! 🤷

The whole topic was pointless to begin with, so there's really no use in trying to find any deep meaning in what certain users were posting.

I’m looking for a little help from the moderators and admins here.
Basically, I want to know where I can start a new thread that covers the same ground as that locked "At Indiana Jones's" (USA) discussion, without running afoul of any forum rules. It would be great if the folks who were part of that thread—the ones who actually found some meaning in all that chaos—could get back together somewhere.
Obviously, the title doesn't matter. It doesn't need to be called "At Indiana Jones's."

Thanks in advance for the guidance.

Aside from the fact that she was the only one who actually bothered to stoop down to the level of a regular forum user 👍

It is unknown unfounded: I mean, seriously, she barely even participated in the debates surrounding the topic, let alone taking a definitive side for or against it. 🤷

It would honestly be just wonderful if those folks who were part of that discussion—you know, the ones who managed to find a bit of logic amidst all the chaos—could find a way to hang out and chat together again somewhere else.
Of course, the title doesn't matter at all, and we definitely don't need to call it "At Indiana Jones's."

Thanks so much in advance for your expert guidance!

👍 That was actually one of my own suggestions, you know, because I'm pretty sure there's a sub-forum for fun and games or something along those lines. 🙂

Targeting individual bad actors is the right way to go—not this collective punishment nonsense.👍

Exactly. Because of Johnny and Mario and their pathetic vocabulary🙄, the chat is just going to be dragged through other threads on the USA forum, assuming anyone actually feels like writing anything at all.
