I thought the movie was great; the plot was really engaging and the acting was solid 🙏
It looks like there might be a sequel coming towards the end 👍

Who else here would consider a solid actor, aside from Djimon Hounsou? I won't even get started on the plot—as for characters who can move objects with their minds... well, we've already seen that trick in 😁 *Star Wars*

Like, Dakota Fanning was such an incredible kid actress, for sure.🙂

The reviews for that movie are all over the place, but I'm actually pretty curious to see it. I heard the visuals are stunning since they shot some of it in Hong Kong, if I remember right...

First, let me be perfectly clear: THIS IS NOT A CHILDREN'S MOVIE. The promotional poster is incredibly misleading. I’ll let you be the judge of that:



As I mentioned, that poster is completely inappropriate. I honestly cannot fathom what the producers were thinking when they released this as the official artwork—especially given the actual content of the film—since it clearly targets a younger audience.

Based solely on the poster, you would assume the movie is bright, colorful, and lighthearted. In reality, it is much darker and adopts an almost documentary-style approach.

When I sat through a private screening, I actually found myself questioning if I was even watching a feature film at all.

The bottom line is that this isn't for kids, nor is it a typical family film.

It isn't a masterpiece, but then again, it isn't a bad take on the whole superhero genre either.

The movie plot reaches its conclusion here, though there's always that lingering possibility of a sequel down the road. Who knows?

Dakota Fanning isn't particularly striking in this particular movie. She’s transitioning into those teenage years now, and if I’m being honest, I found her acting much more compelling back when she was a child performer. Perhaps she'll find her stride in a different project down the road.

And based on the trailer it actually looks pretty solid.

Watched it today—nothing to write home about, honestly—but Dakota was absolutely stellar...

I'm downloading it now and plan to watch it tomorrow. I'll let you guys know what I think once I've seen it, but based on the trailer, the movie plot feels a lot like the Heroes series.

I haven't actually sat down to watch it yet, but based on everything I've read about the movie over the last few months, it sounds a lot like last year's Jumper starring Hayden Christensen.

Complete garbage. The movie plot is nonsensical and underdeveloped, especially when you consider how 🤣 handled the restaurant scene where Nick goes to kill Carver😂

The movie is just okay, but for those of us who love the Heroes series, it’s a great watch to see how fights in that show should actually be choreographed. Sylar is a total amateur when it comes to telekinesis compared to Peter Petrelli.

Just finished watching the movie. Honestly, the plot felt a bit sluggish to me, though it definitely gave off some major *jumper* vibes—you know, those two young heroes with essentially the same powers. The special effects weren't bad, though; specifically those deflections with the yellow and green visual flares.
I feel like it’s seriously lacking action, which was a letdown... there just wasn't enough. If they ever decide to make a sequel, I really hope they don't pull this same stunt again.
The only reason I sat through it was for the visual effects; otherwise... :/

The only real difference between them and Peter Petrelli from *Heroes* is that he actually has a wider variety of powers compared to them.

Lately, I’ve actually developed a pretty foolproof system for rating movies on IMDb. It’s simple: if I drift off halfway through, it’s an automatic 2 or 3 out of 10. If the movie manages to keep me awake but leaves me feeling totally indifferent, I usually land somewhere in the 4 to 6 range. But, if I actually stay conscious until the credits roll and the story sticks with me, that’s when you see the high scores...
Any guesses what this one earned....

...a solid 3, because I was out like a light until some obnoxious explosion jolted me awake. Honestly, though, I can't even be mad about it; getting that nap in was actually enough to recharge my batteries, and I even managed to power through the end of the film 😉

this is clearly a movie made for kids, because only a child would have the patience for this kind of garbage. It doesn't surprise me at all that it flopped, given how low-quality it is—they probably realized it wouldn't fly with adults and decided to just dump it on the App Store as a "kids' movie" instead 👎

By that logic, they could have marketed Freddy vs Jason as a children's movie too. I just can't imagine what the poster would look like—maybe the killers holding a bouquet of daisies.

Twitter... the film was alright for me... though you really have to sit through the whole thing before anything actually makes sense..........
