Honestly, after reading all those scathing reviews, I was fully braced for a total train wreck—but it actually turned out to be... okay? Not great, just decent. In fact, the trailer pretty much gave away the best parts of the whole thing. Most of the jump scares felt like cheap rip-offs of classic Hollywood horror staples, which makes the whole thing incredibly predictable once you see the pattern. That said, they did manage to rattle my nerves during two specific scenes, and frankly, that’s about all you can get out of this one. As for Odette, she’s got that look—you know the type—that lands someone a starring role in every teen drama on Netflix within a year. There was even one slow-motion sequence that felt less like cinema and more like a high-end shampoo commercial.

Just started watching... gave up after 15 minutes... absolute garbage... feels like they just throw jump scares at you every second to keep you awake... not even gonna get into how much of it was ripped off from better movies

The trailers really did some heavy lifting here... because honestly, the movie itself didn't quite hit the mark for me.

So I’m messing around in my school portal, right? A buddy tells me to check out this specific page and cranks up his speakers. The site loads, and I see this text in white letters—basically a massive spoiler for what was on the screen—so I follow whatever instructions the site gives me. Next thing I know, everything goes haywire... total chaos! SHOWTIME! I ended up creating a user account, sent the link to everyone I knew, and now my whole friend group is blowing up my phone asking if I’ve actually lost my mind. We even tried to coordinate a trip to the AMC to see the movie together, but turns out it isn't even getting a theatrical release here in the States. Whatever. I just downloaded it myself and watched about 40 minutes before my disc drive started acting up, though honestly, the movie wasn't even that great anyway.

Just checking in with another solid horror flick! Honestly, the lead actress absolutely killed it—she brought this totally unique vibe to the exorcism scenes, almost like something out of an old-school classic. There are definitely a few jump scares to keep you on your toes, but nothing that’s going to give you actual nightmares. Overall? It's definitely sitting a bit above your average horror movie.

There are moments where this movie gets genuinely creepy SPOILER ALERT( the small kid and the grandpa crawling on all fours), though parts of it are just plain ridiculous(like that exorcism scene where the rabbi and the priest try to cast out the demon 🤣, fail miserably, and then some random bystander steps in to calm the demon down by reading something 🙄). Honestly, that whole pregnancy twist at the end was totally unnecessary and such a tired cliché. END OF SPOILERS

Plus, the lead actress spends most of the film in her underwear and a tank top, which feels a bit off for a female protagonist in a horror flick...
Anyway, it’s watchable. I think these recent exorcism movies are actually worse than this one; that trope is just completely played out at this point.
