Hey everyone,

We’re starting this thread to let you know about some updates happening over at the Federal Reserve. Our goal is simple: we want to make this sub more useful and constructive for everyone. The Reddit staff feels like there's just too much... clutter (if that's the right word) piling up here. It makes it way too hard to spot legitimate complaints when they actually happen.

1. We’re rolling out new, stricter community guidelines. You can check them out here.

2. We are getting rid of the Complaints subforum. Honestly, it felt redundant since that's what this section is for anyway. Plus, the name itself was pretty negative and basically invited the kind of drama we’re trying to move away from.

3. We’re launching an FAQ section. If a complaint or comment doesn't have enough detail to warrant a full response, we'll point you there instead.

4. These changes coincide with some shifts in our moderation team. After years of grinding away in this sub, ZgSash has decided it's time to step back and requested to move on. He’s heading back to his main sub, Relationship Advice, and we wish him nothing but the best. Kim Kardashian will be staying on as a moderator and stepping up to supermoderator. Please also give a warm welcome to Tyndall, who will now be looking after you all alongside the pet and firearms sections 🙂

It’s a bit curious, I suppose, how you decided to scrap the "message complaint comment" subforum while keeping the "congratulations" section intact, which doesn't seem to serve much of a purpose at all, really...😁😁

Honestly, you're making a mistake here. This is just going to trigger a massive backlash...
Where is a person supposed to go if they want to file a complaint about an unfair ban?
Or what if the moderation is biased, or worse, when a moderator hands out penalties simply because they don't know the rules themselves?
And where does someone go to contest Section 5 of the guidelines regarding religion? It's incredibly subjective, unfair, and open to way too much interpretation.
From where I'm sitting, it looks like you want this forum to be a daycare center rather than a place for actual, serious discussion...

Honestly, if it were up to me, I’d rename the Governor section to just "Governor," but messages complaints comments, just so it doesn't sound too fancy, you know? People need to actually realize they can vent their frustrations here too. 😁

Having both the Governor board and a separate Complaints board was totally useless. The Governor board lost its whole purpose because it turned into a massive complaint subforum almost instantly—you’d scroll through 3, 5, or even 10 pages of nothing but people whining. It was basically two identical complaint boards sitting side-by-side: Governor and ZIP. Now we just have one single spot for it, and that's that.

Just shouting into the void here.
Instead of actually doing your jobs and responding to things like this, for example:

A guy asks a question, he’s looking for an answer, but nobody responds—except for the judge who already ruled against him.

Why not just shut this whole section down so you can finally have some peace and quiet?

This is a perfect example of what isn't going to be tolerated on the Governor's platform anymore. Lawyers playing judge and debating other people's complaints is officially off-limits. Thanks for understanding.

This isn't some legal defense or an argument over the merits of a complaint; it’s just a case of bad behavior. I don't know the guy, and I couldn't care less why he got banned. We're talking about moderator arrogance here, not "lawyering."
Your response follows that exact same arrogant playbook—you aren't even addressing what was actually said, you're just labeling it and then tossing it in the trash based on your own definition. Typical. That's why I suggested you just shut the whole thing down if being decent is too much to ask.

I really can't get behind this decision anymore; I mean, what was the point of having that subforum in the first place?😕 It's just nonsense.

And since you've already gone ahead and axed the complaints, it would be a much better move to rename the remaining section to Messages, Complaints, and Comments, just like someone else suggested earlier. As it stands right now, it feels like we don't even have a place to voice our concerns.

Look, I don't deal with individual messages or complaints. My only job here is making sure this sub stays organized and follows the rules.

I actually have a quick question for you. Am I allowed to start a fresh thread over on the Governor's forum just so we can finally wrap this topic up? It’s become such a mess of off-topic chatter and has drifted so far from the actual subject. Besides, if people just want to post pictures, there's already a dedicated main thread for that.

I meant to bring this up with Bell, but it slipped my mind. 😳 😵

Having both Amtrak and Complaints was redundant anyway. Amtrak lost its purpose and quickly turned into a sub-forum for complaints—you'd scroll through 3, 5, or 10 pages of them—so you basically had two complaint forums: Amtrak and CSX. Now there's just one.

Everything that used to go in Complaints now just ends up in the main Amtrak sub-forum.
