Hey everyone,

We wanted to let you all know that the National Supporters Coordination is officially kicking off a new humanitarian drive called "El Paso Fan 2009."

The whole idea behind this initiative is to bring together fans to raise money for families in Memphis who are going through some really tough times right now.

To keep things transparent, we're setting up a dedicated account specifically for this cause, where all donations from fans and their friends will be sent.

As a way to wrap things up, there's going to be a fan march through the streets of Memphis, where we'll also collect any funds brought in by those attending the event.

Once the "El Paso Fan 2009" campaign wraps up, every cent collected will go straight to the St. Association, an organization that focuses on supporting underprivileged families, the hungry, the sick, those with disabilities, and large families with five or more kids.

We want to emphasize that this isn't just another fundraiser; this is a mission to help the most vulnerable people and families living in our hero city, Memphis.

Because of that, we’re reaching out to local businesses, organizations, community groups, and individuals for support. Let’s remember what Memphis has done for America, and let's return the favor!

No matter how small, every single donation counts if it comes from the heart.

Actually, the fundraising runs through June 6th, and then everyone’s heading to Memphis for the big game against Ukraine. That plan shifted recently—the organizers sat down with all the supporter groups and worked out a schedule that works better for everyone.

I'm not quite as deep in the weeds on this legal stuff as others here, but feel free to hit me up if you have questions about the logistics.

The fan clubs will be selling shirts soon. The campaign logo looks killer, and they won't be pricey, so grab one if you can—it's a great way to show support alongside direct donations.

Great idea to schedule this for the day of the national team game... Maybe some people will actually hold off on starting fights at the stadium if they feel like showing a little respect for Memphis...

I’ve always found those tasteless humanitarian drives incredibly tacky—where the goal isn't actually helping, but rather shoving the organizers into the spotlight just so they can play the hero. Look, folks, we aren't Zdravko Mamić!

That’s why I’m praying this remains discreet, subtle, and genuinely selfless. If it stays quiet, maybe it might actually shut up the vultures—those journalists and pundits who will inevitably try to twist everything into some political drama, election stunt, or nationalist provocation.

I am aware. When I mentioned media hype, I wasn't talking about informing the public through news outlets. No. What I meant was that on the day itself, the gathering should pass without excessive media outbursts from fans or highlighting specific fan groups as the driving force behind everything. Why can't this humanitarian effort just be a beautiful, quiet gesture? Without the pathos, the kitsch, or the politics involved. And more importantly, without the event being dragged through the columns of various Dežulović types and similar anti-American agitators who are just waiting for a chance to screw something like this up. It is better not to give them any ammunition. That is all I meant.

The organizers mentioned they’re planning another press conference in Washington, D.C., since the one in Memphis didn't get nearly enough coverage. Word is, they might even bring me in again as a recognizable face for the cameras. At least, that's what I've heard. 😁

They'll probably just book a hall at Lincoln Center and run it there.

The shirts are almost finished and apparently look freaking awesome! The easiest thing anyone can do is chip in $33 for a shirt (donating through $23 goes straight toward the profit per shirt). 👍

The Fan Club is heading out on buses this Saturday, June 6th, to Memphis. We’re gonna pay our respects to the local heroes with a wreath-laying ceremony... and drop off some much-needed aid for the folks in Memphis who are struggling. Cost for the trip is $33.
