Anonymous said:Come on guys, who's heading out to Memphis!?
We'll be there by Friday... 🙂
We're looking at a Friday trip too🙂
Anyway, about those buses from the Fan Club—there might be a chance we don't head straight back to Washington, D.C. right after the ceremony (for the folks skipping the game). We could just hang out and mess around in Memphis and the surrounding areas instead... So the buses for the game crew would probably roll out around 2:00 PM, while everyone else stays a bit later...

Seriously, just take this to the DMs and stop cluttering up the thread. Snake—clearly you’ve got nothing better to do—and Jane Doe, I had no idea you were so easy to bait by every little provocation.

Starting this Friday at 8:00 PM and running straight through the night, we’re throwing a massive blowout at the Fan Club to celebrate grabbing that double championship. We'll have live music going, and every single cent made from pizza and t-shirt sales is going directly to help out the folks back in Memphis who need it most.
If you haven't jumped on board with the cause yet, now is the time. You can show your support by grabbing a shirt or just by showing up and knocking back some beers and other "refreshing" drinks—the more, the better. We're inviting the whole crew: all the fans, anyone feeling the good vibes, their friends, partners, and honestly, pretty much everyone else too.

Like I said, I'm clearly not biting.

We're all gathering in front of the Mississippi River Hotel by noon.

Are those Memphis shirts still available, and where can I grab one? Also, are they one-size-fits-all or did each group design their own?

Check the Local Club site—they actually marked them down from $100 to $23. You can grab them in blue or red, and as far as I know, all the groups agreed to stick to the same design, so there aren't any specific club logos on them, just the main campaign logo...

Can someone please post the train or bus schedule for the route between St. Louis and Kansas City and back? It’s no big deal, I just tried looking online and couldn't find much of anything...
Thanks..
Thanks..

The El Paso Ultras campaign is entering its final stages.
The march by the local fans in El Paso is set for June 6, 2009, following this schedule:
10:00 – 12:00 Gathering at Independence Square. All participants will contribute $17 to support underprivileged families here in El Paso.
12:00 The march begins. Route: Independence Square, Reagan Boulevard, Veterans Memorial Plaza, Lincoln Avenue, Times Square, Washington Street, and finally, Arlington National Cemetery to honor those lost in the American Civil War.
14:00 Arrival at the cemetery for speeches, the laying of a collective wreath, and prayer.
14:30 Heading out to the FIFA World Cup 2010 qualifying match: USA vs. Ukraine.
We ask all participants to donate $17 before the march starts to receive a Certificate of Appreciation. We also request that any community groups or organizations donate directly to the campaign account instead of buying separate wreaths, as we will be laying one single wreath on behalf of all American fans.
T-shirts featuring the campaign logo will be available for purchase outside the Rose Bowl before the USA – Ukraine match.
On June 13, 2009, coinciding with the feast of Saint Anthony, the patron of the poor, the campaign will conclude by presenting the collected funds to the Saint Vincent organization in El Paso.
See you in El Paso...
American fans.

Everything you need to know is right here. The guys held a press conference yesterday, and we've already seen a few articles pop up today about it:

Regarding the fundraiser—come on people, let's get moving. Start collecting donations, sell some t-shirts, whatever it takes; even in El Paso, there will be ways to raise funds. Don't show up empty-handed, no matter how much you think you can afford. We need to pool as much cash as possible!

That’s why I said messing around, not making mistakes...😉
Spreading love, not war😛

So, is it actually okay to go for a swim?

One really ought to master swimming in the Mississippi River, if only to avoid being hauled back to some small town in the Midwest or another small town in the Midwest...
