About a month ago, I caught an afternoon segment on TV discussing modern techniques for varicose vein surgery. They interviewed two specialists—one from Springfield who uses laser technology, and another from Oakland who specializes in a newer radiofrequency method.
Does anyone happen to know the name of that doctor from Oakland? I failed to jot down the names, and I'm also wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the hospital system over in Oakland.
Just for context, getting both legs treated at a private clinic using the radiofrequency method would set me back roughly $17,000 to $20,000$0.00.
Since these doctors were touting these "new" methods—claiming they don't require general anesthesia and offer a painless recovery—and since they are specifically performed at those two hospitals, surely they must have actual patients to show for it, right?
I intend to track down that surgeon from Oakland. I am almost certain I’m a candidate for this procedure. Even if there is an out-of-pocket cost, wouldn't it logically be more affordable than going strictly private?
