Hey guys, how’s everyone doing? It’s been way too quiet in here lately..
Anyway, I’m feeling a whole lot better today. Actually put on some foundation for the first time since my surgery 😍
The swelling has gone down a bit, though you can still see it.
I picked up some paraffin oil and honestly, it’s working wonders—it totally melted away those scabs I still had lingering.
I’ve got a bachelorette party coming up this Friday, so fingers crossed things look even better by then.
Ugh, but my skin is a total disaster right now. It’s so incredibly dry, I’m seriously at a loss for what to do...

Well, I'm feeling a lot better today. I actually applied foundation for the first time since my surgery 😍
The swelling has gone down a bit, though it's still noticeable.
I picked up some paraffin oil and I have to say, it really helps. It helped dissolve those scabs I still had.
I have a bachelorette party this Friday, so I'm hoping the results look even better by then.
But man, my skin is a disaster. It's so incredibly dry, I honestly don't know what to do...

Ugh, tell me about it. My skin is a total wreck... I'm constantly slathering on cream. It's so painfully dry, especially where the bruising is. Just awful. 😢 I'm doing okay, though I'm still swollen. It's day 6 now, so hopefully things improve soon. 🙂 Can you even laugh normally yet? I think I might finally be able to leave the house on Monday when I go in for my follow-up appointment 🙂 but until then, I'm basically hiding in the dark. 🙂

It's awful. 😢 Honestly, I've got it worse—I'm still swollen. Today is day 6, so hopefully things turn around soon. 🙂 Can you even laugh normally yet? I'm thinking about actually stepping foot outside this Monday when I head in for my follow-up. 🙂 Until then, I'm basically hiding out in the dark. 🙂

I can't even laugh properly right now, which is the worst part—I look like I have no teeth at all. 🤣
Everything feels so tight. My muscle right above my lip feels totally sliced—how about you?

Did the doctor give you a heads-up beforehand that they were going to cut into the muscle, or was that just some unwelcome surprise you discovered after the surgery was already over?

wanderingangler8 As specified by Susan Smith13:
I honestly can’t even laugh normally anymore, and frankly, it’s driving me absolutely insane. Every time I try, I end up looking like I don't even have teeth. 🤣
Everything feels tight and strained lately. I’m dealing with this constant, sharp pulling sensation in the muscle right above my lip—it's incredibly irritating. How about you? Are you feeling any of this tension too?

Did the doctor give you a heads-up beforehand that they were going to be cutting into muscle, or was that just some unpleasant surprise you discovered once you woke up from surgery?

They told me right away—my nose was drooping quite a bit, so that's why the muscle work was necessary.

Man, that’s just awful. Thank God I didn't go through that... Honestly, whenever I try to smile, I look like I don't even have teeth. It's ridiculous. Everyone thinks it's some big joke now. 😢 I guess my teeth are starting to show a bit. 🙂 Finally. What day is it for you now?

So, I just got my new surgery date set for August 10th. They were asking whether I wanted local or general anesthesia...
What do you guys think is better?

I've got an idea, ladies 🙂
Can we start posting some before-and-after shots here? It would be great to actually see the results and maybe
get a better sense of how different surgeons compare. And don't worry, you don't have to post a photo just one day after surgery 😁... I mean, more like
one month out. I know there are girls in this group who had their procedures ages ago, so if you could share, I'd be super
grateful 🙂... Just a shot of the nose itself is fine, doesn't need to be a full profile pic...

Cool idea...
it's just that most people don't really have a good profile shot from before they went under the knife...or am I wrong? 😍

I mean, they probably have one... if not a full profile, at least they can crop out their nose from some random photo that isn't even their profile pic. It’s not exactly rocket science to fake a look 😉

Come on, ladies! 🙂

Is that covered by insurance😁?

How long did it take for you all to get back to your normal lives... I mean, how long before the bruising and swelling subsided enough to head back to work, college, or school?

Edit: found my answer:
ruggednomad said:Honey, I’d say 10 to 15 days is plenty of time for your face to look totally fine, without the swelling or bruises. Your nose might still be slightly swollen, but nothing anyone else would notice—just you...

Wouldn't general be better? You know, the total knockout? At least you're asleep. With local, you're wide awake, you just don't feel the pain.

Laura Booth6 said:Why wouldn't you just go for the full dose? You sleep through it. Local anesthesia is just when you're awake but don't feel the pain...

God, I would never opt for local. It’s gotta be general anesthesia for me. Definitely... 🙂>

Hehe, true. True. I don't have a profile picture either.😍

I am honestly obsessed with how they handled the nose on this first one... she looks stunning..🙂
The last one had both her nose and chin done..

I believe most people use insurance cards. I have my procedure scheduled for May 16th with the specialist... the surgery costs about $1,600...

I was wondering—is there any way to deal with a bone spur just by having a doctor shave it down? Like, can we skip the whole bone-breaking surgery part...?

Is it really that hard to type out one single sentence? Or even just one word? 🙄

God, you people are just a ray of sunshine. So incredibly polite. Truly. 🤣

Excuse me now, I've got some business to attend to. 👋
