Not super bruised, but my head felt like a balloon. 😍The doctor told me that once they remove the molds, there might be some additional swelling, so we'll see. He thinks things should settle down in about a week.

Honestly, I really hope the swelling stops now... 🙂 I just hope this is it. That everything starts going down from here. 🙂 haha, which surgeon did you go with?

I went with the specialist in Chicago. The consultation felt right, so I pulled the trigger.😉
It's such a tough call. You always hear both sides of the story, but at the end of the day, it's your nose and your decision. I just really hope I won't regret this.

It’s tough to pick a surgeon. There are always going to be both success stories and horror stories, I guess. At the end of the day, it's your own nose, so you have to make the call yourself. I just hope I don't regret it.

I was weighing my options between two choices. I just hope I don't end up regretting it. 🙂 Heh. I can't wait for tomorrow. 🙂 Just one more night and I’m finally stripping it all down. Finally. 🙂 How many days were you Miss Piggyyyyy? 🙂

I mean, I don't know, maybe about 5 days. By the time I was getting the mold off, it had already dropped 😍
I'm just hoping it stays put this time—it's way better like this 😁

I'm just hoping it doesn't drop any further. It feels great as it is right now 😁

hehe 🙂 they're taking out my mold and tampons tomorrow 🙂 which is awesome. 🙂 I'm actually pretty curious to see how everything looks from underneath 🙂 Was it really that big that you decided to go through with the surgery?

Well, I can tell you it was long, and my pelvic bone was pretty flat. Now everything is nicely shaped and lifted. What about you—what kind of trouble was it giving you?

Mine wasn't even that long, but it had this bump. So I told them to straighten it out and take a little off the size... I guess we'll see how it looks tomorrow.🙂

I’ve actually checked online a few times already just to see if you took the mold off yet and to get your take on it...
Man, it's gonna subside. It was my first day back at work today and everyone was asking what happened. 😍
And yeah, I'm still super swollen—even though I had to drag myself into the office 🙄

Honestly, it's going to be a disaster. It was my first day back at work today and everyone keeps asking what happened to me.😍
I'm still swollen, too, even though I had to go in.🙄

Ugh, 😢 how many days has it been for you now? This whole thing with the tampons is brutal—it’s not even about the pain, it’s just that incredibly weird sensation. When it started coming out, I thought it would never end. It feels HORRIBLY long 🙂 at least, that's how it seems to me. And where else are you swollen? My whole head feels swollen.😍

Today is my tenth day. Man, I don't even know where I'm not. Same here—my whole head is still swollen, though maybe not as bad as those first few days. My nose is still puffy too. Honestly, I just feel like total trash right now. I can't wait for this all to be over 🙄

wanderingangler8 said:Today marks day ten for me. Honestly, I don't even know what's left to deal with. My head still feels heavy, though maybe not quite as much as those first few days. My nose is still swollen, too. I just feel completely wiped out. I'm counting down the minutes until this is all over.🙄

Ugh. And here I was hoping everything would have flattened out after ten days.😢 Instead, I'm just feeling totally drained. I suppose I can only hope things get a little easier every single day. By the way, did people at work realize you had nose surgery? Or did they just ask what happened?
🙂😍

Honestly, nobody even realized I had my nose done—which is actually wild. When I was reading other people's stories about life after surgery, I didn't really get it when they said no one could tell. Now I totally do.
Did they put any ointment on your nose?

The swelling in my nose will persist for about four and a half months. Of course, it isn't immediately obvious; rather, as more time passes and the tip of the nose gradually narrows, you'll eventually realize just how much swelling there actually was.

For any scabbing inside the nose, paraffin oil drops are quite effective. They won't cause any harm, as they are specifically used to soften everything up so the scabs can fall away naturally.

My dog wouldn't let anyone touch her nose except for the vet during her cleaning appointments.

Did they rub some kind of ointment on your nose?

Nope. They didn't put any ointment on the outside, just inside...

Ashley Carter95 said:my nose wasn't feeling great either—no ointments used, just some nose strips every single time I went in for a cleaning.

I went in this past Saturday to get my molds removed, and they just kind of scraped off those little crusty bits with something—not sure how else to put it—but they didn't apply anything to it afterward. Should I just pick up some oil at a drugstore?

Oh, really?? Good grief... and how long were you swollen for? Just so I know about the nasal strips, but right now my entire face is swollen.. I guess I'll go ahead and buy those drops. 😍 😍thx

Yes, they compound it right there at the pharmacy. They usually don't even bother with fancy packaging, and it only takes a few minutes. I believe it's $1.75.

It’s been five months. The nose is actually only just starting to take shape—the bridge is settling and the tip is finally finding its form; before this, it looked a bit like a potato.

Usually, those little bumps show up after two or three months. In my case, a bump appeared at the bridge about a month ago, but it's fading. The other side of the bridge is starting to shrink and even out, making the bump less noticeable... honestly, you really have to wait six months for the nose to settle into its final shape. There's no need to panic over anything since everything is constantly changing.
