wiredcrane12 said:Hi there... I find that massaging helps the most to prevent my skin from sticking to the bridge of my nose. Plus, Doc mentioned it’s great for circulation—it’s basically lymphatic drainage. You just massage up to the point where it feels tender at the base of the nose to separate the skin from the bone, on both sides. :-)
My skin actually did stick, so I'm hoping it separates quickly.
I've been using Aquaphor.

Best to everyone,

Isaac, thanks for the tip...

The skin stuck to the bridge of my nose too, and nobody told me I could just massage it myself. They just recommended lymphatic drainage and left it at that. I guess they suggested lymphatic drainage specifically to help clear up those bruises faster...

Does that skin eventually just loosen up on its own, or what?

Hey, honestly, the scab usually just flakes off on its own after a month or two—maybe even longer—but I don't have the patience to sit around waiting that long, so I just massage it to speed things up.
You’re actually the first person I’ve heard from who had the exact same issue. I checked in with Doc yesterday, and he mentioned it doesn't happen to everyone; it really depends on your skin type and how they do the procedure. Like, if they use a filing method, it's one thing, but he was using a scalpel to scrape the bone, so there was this raw spot that just kept sticking to the skin. One little patch was stuck so tight it looked like a permanent scar, so I had to go in with some needles to loosen it up, then I had to keep massaging it constantly just to make sure it didn't heal shut again.

The tip of my nose is swollen too... definitely.
Did one of your stitches fall out?

Honestly, I don't see either of them... I have no idea.. 😢 how about you? My breathing through my nose is fine. But there's this scab in one nostril that's driving me absolutely insane. I just want to RIP IT OUT!!!🙂

Elizabeth Baker50 said:hey there 🙂 you answered all my questions perfectly Laura Castillo7! thank you so much!! 🙏 I’ll set up a phone consultation with Dr. Cimprini and let her know when I want to schedule the surgery—I already have a timeframe in mind, somewhere around late September or early October. I’ve been contemplating this for ages and finally managed to scrape together enough courage. I’m actually based in Chicago, so I think I’ll stay put until the packing is done. I would love to fly back home, but if staying here is the better move, I’ll bite the bullet. My case is supposedly a bit tricky because of a hump, and the bridge shifts slightly toward the right side. My tip also points downward. It might even be causing some breathing issues, though I can't say for sure. At least my nose isn't oversized. Otherwise, it's hideous! 🤣 I’m sure the price will be complicated too, LOL. I hope not. Do you happen to know what the typical price range is for those celebrity surgeons??

Once again, a massive thank you! You’ve been incredibly helpful! 😉

I had that exact same issue—a hump that drifted to the right and a tip that pointed down; it looked... hooked, gross. Now it's small, pretty, and straight. For me, the main goal was just getting rid of that bump.
I paid $1,800, but I honestly don't know if prices have spiked since then—I've heard they have with certain doctors, but I'm not sure about him. Consultations are $50

Laura Castillo7 said:So, I actually dealt with that hump too! It used to curve way off to the right with the tip pointing down—honestly, it looked kind of awkward and weird. But now? My little guy is totally smooth, cute, and straight. For me, getting rid of that bump was the absolute top priority.
I just dropped 1,800 bucks on this, and now I’m sitting here second-guessing everything because I heard some specialists out there have been hiking up their rates lately. Honestly, I haven't a clue if his fees have jumped too, but those consultation costs are definitely something else. $50

Thanks! Laura Castillo7That’s awesome that you actually liked it and that they fixed everything exactly how you wanted! I’m seriously counting down the days until my consultation just to see what kind of magic we can work with. Honestly, my brain is such a mess right now—I’ve got so many ridiculous questions swirling around, like, "Wait, so once they fix the hump, what are they even going to do with all that extra skin?" lol. 😂 Honestly, my main priority is just getting that bump smoothed out, and if they can slightly straighten my nose while they're at it, even better. I'm really crossing my fingers that they’ll go with the internal method for me too—I'm just praying everything turns out perfect!

It’s been about three months since my surgery, and honestly, I feel like my nose is finally starting to look better.
My Doc told me to just leave it alone—absolutely no massaging or touching anything.
But looking at this thread, it seems like everyone has a completely different opinion on whether you should massage it or not.
The thing is, my nose still hurts if I even accidentally bump it against something... when does that sensitivity actually go away?

Hey, how are you holding up? How did everything turn out? Was it painful? Are you happy with the results? As for me... mine hasn't disappeared yet. It feels flat to the touch, but I can definitely still feel a bump there. I called my Doc about it, and they told me it was just swelling, but honestly? I’m not buying it. It feels like it's getting more noticeable every single time I check. I really hope it passes soon. To be truthful, I'm pretty terrified about it.

I feel great, honestly, and it didn't hurt at all. 🙂 It’s probably best if you don't touch it yourself. If the swelling doesn't subside, just let him check it out—it's likely still just inflammation. I can't believe how good he did, though. I'm just panicking a bit about potential side effects, but he assured me nothing would happen, so we'll see... By the way, were you massaging your nose?

It’s probably still pretty swollen, right? I can't believe how good he did such an amazing job! I'm just a little nervous about whether anything will show up later... ugh. But he said it wouldn't, so we'll see. Anyway, did you end up massaging your nose or what?

No massage. He didn't mention anything about massaging it. But whenever I touch it, I can definitely feel it. I'm just praying everything heals perfectly.

What’s the damage with Doc Gudelj? He seems like my best bet since I'm coming all the way from Chicago...

It's $1,000 for the aesthetic procedure, and $1,500 if you're doing both aesthetic and functional operations.

Hey everyone, how’s it going?
I’m feeling amazing after a month and five days. Honestly, things just keep getting better every single day. My breathing isn't quite 100% perfect yet, though—it's kind of hit or miss sometimes. :-) I started swimming in the ocean, which has been incredible for my breathing; it clears everything out, but then it eventually gets stuffy again. I’m actually heading out on a trip to Africa later today, so hopefully, it's not too soon to travel.
My profile looks beautiful, and from the front, it keeps looking better every day. I feel more confident than ever. Just happy... even if people don't really notice, besides those who know me well. I’d recommend the surgery to anyone because there’s zero pain—aside from these little doubts and that nagging fear of whether everything will turn out okay.
Big hugs to you all!

Here it is!

I can't quite tell if I'm just seeing things—honestly, maybe I'm just overanalyzing—but I swear I can still see a tiny little bump on the nose.
It’s the exact same thing for me right now 🤷

When did you first notice it? Honestly, now I'm worried something might show up on mine too. Though, maybe it's just lingering swelling... does anyone know how to upload an image here? Best, 🙂

Since I’m already here, I might as well share my own experience:
It’s day six post-nose surgery for me. It was a minor septoplasty combined with some reshaping. The procedure itself? Painless. I just drifted off and woke up feeling like I’d had the best sleep of my life. Then reality hit. By day two, the bruising set in, and now everything is getting darker and the pain is ramping up. Some people claim they didn't feel a thing or that the nasal packing wasn't that bad. Well, they clearly weren't me. My nose hurts—badly. Specifically, the stitches around the nostrils and the inside are agonizing, and my eyes are throbbing too. As for those nasal tampons? They are absolutely miserable. Not even close to being "negligible." If I could go back in time and choose... I wouldn't do it again. Sure, it all passes eventually and everyone forgets, but since this is still fresh, consider this a warning. I thought I knew what to expect, yet here I am. It would have been much easier if I’d actually braced myself for this level of discomfort; I definitely wasn't prepared for the shock. 😕
The cast comes off the morning after tomorrow. They warned me about the swelling so I wouldn't freak out 😲 and mentioned the pain would linger for a bit.
I even had some bleeding, though Sinclair said it wasn't enough to require replacing the packing. All in all, it's just a complicated mess... all this just so I can breathe properly and have a decent nose. 😉
P.s. Zambelli performed the surgery.

Hello, everyone! I have some wonderful news for anyone currently stressing over a bump on their nose!! I had mine fixed 🙂 about four and a half months ago. Honestly, my only concern was this visible bump right at the base of my nose. Well, today, the Doc simply extracted it with a needle, and it’s gone—completely vanished! :-) Apparently, a tiny fragment of cartilage or bone breaks off, and during the healing process, fluid collects around it, creating that stubborn lump. It turns out the whole thing can be resolved quite simply 😉.

Thank God there's actually a fix for this....
Thank you so much for sharing this information!!!!
I feel so much better now 👍
