I ultimately decided to go with Dr. Tony because it seemed like he had the most girls from this forum visiting him... so I’m really hoping I made the right call! Personally, small or "plastic-looking" noses don't bother me at all, though I can't quite put my finger on why. 🙂 As for how my own nose is going to turn out, only the doctor and I will know for sure once it's done! 😁 I am seriously, deeply hoping for a great result. I honestly can't wait for the surgery... the days are just dragging by so slowly. 🙄

Has anyone here actually gone under the knife to fix a wide nose??????
Or maybe just to slim down a bulbous tip????????

I have two quick questions...

Has anyone here actually been there for a checkup or maybe even surgery? What was your experience like?

Second, I have a pretty specific question for the surgeon—basically a diagnosis with all the details of what and how. I’m just looking for an experienced pro who can give me a straight answer on "can this be done or not," and eventually, "what's the price tag?"

The thing is, how am I supposed to ask Dr. Glumicic that question when he doesn't respond to the email listed on his website AT ALL?! Should I call and ask to be put through to him? Or do I have to book an appointment, pay for a full consultation, and then walk out of the office after one minute with my answer?
Honestly, I don't get how I can get a response from the IRS about customs fees for some random junk from eBay, but getting a word from a prestigious private clinic is impossible...

Hi!

I had rhinoplasty (cosmetic surgery) at the Gulic Clinic. Dr. Gulic performed the surgery and I am super happy with the results. 🙂 It's only been about a month since the procedure, and while the doctor says we need a few more months to see the final result, my nose already looks completely normal and I absolutely love it. She was wonderful, too—really kind and professional right from that very first consultation. I was worried I might have overwhelmed her with all my endless questions and anxieties about wanting one thing over another, but she was so patient and really took the time to listen and examine me.
As for the clinic itself—it might not be the main point, but I have to say I was quite impressed. It's organized and has world-class equipment. I actually stayed overnight there, and it was such a treat. You should see the bathroom!🙂
It was totally worth it!

I actually went through with my rhinoplasty at the Gulic Clinic. Dr. Gulic was my surgeon, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with how things turned out. 🙂 It’s only been about a month since the surgery, and while the doctor mentioned it’ll take a few more months to see the final result, my nose already looks completely natural and I am absolutely loving it! By the way, she was just wonderful—from that very first consultation, she was so kind and professional. I was actually a little worried that I might have overwhelmed her with my endless stream of questions and anxieties (you know, being super picky about wanting this specific shape instead of that one!), but she was incredibly patient and really took the time to listen to me and do a thorough exam.
And I have to mention the clinic itself—it might seem like a small detail, but I was seriously impressed! Everything is so sleek and equipped with world-class technology. I actually stayed overnight there, and it felt like such a treat. You should see the bathroom!🙂

Thanks for getting back to me!
I noticed she answers questions on certain forums with such diligence and patience, so I decided to do a little "investigation" on her. 🤣
By the way, I heard that the famous Dr. Ranko Mladin also works at that clinic? Does he perform surgeries there too? (Or maybe even privately if you're interested 😉)

Regarding Dr. Bedekovic, I saw him mentioned in a few recent posts. I have to say, I had a similar experience, though it was about 10 years ago. That was just an exam at a hospital after I broke my nose. I suppose private clinics hire doctors like that and maybe give them a little extra incentive to be "nicer" to their patients. 😉

Hey everyone, I guess it's finally my turn to jump into this thread... I'm two months post-op on my rhinoplasty and honestly, I'm not feeling great about it. About two months ago, right in the middle of my nose where there was already a bump, this new little lump started appearing. I really thought it would just go away on its own—that's what you tell yourself, right?—but it hasn't. In fact, it actually feels bigger now. It feels like a little marble under my skin, and the area around it stays swollen too... I don't even know how to describe the sensation properly. When I went to see Dr. Tony last month, he tried to convince me everything was totally fine—basically acting like I was losing my mind—and he’s still trying to pull the same routine now. But the lump is definitely there. Help!

I’m looking for a bit of encouragement here if anyone can offer it. I had my rhinoplasty about two weeks ago, but from a profile view, my nose still looks quite large. The only real change I’ve noticed since the procedure is that the dorsal hump is gone. Is there actually any chance it will continue to shrink? :S

Anyone here ever gone under the knife for rhinoplasty to narrow their nose? Looking for someone with actual experience with this kind of thing. Please reach out if you have info

I have a nose that feels far too prominent, both in length and width... 😢
it’s certainly nothing compared to someone like Jadranka Djokic,
but frankly, it just doesn't harmonize with the rest of my features.

At the moment, I am in the process of saving up enough funds,
as I have placed this surgery on a two-year timeline 😉

and I find myself with several questions...

1.- My shortlist currently includes Smith and Tony.
What are your thoughts regarding their work?
2.- I am curious about the cost...
Some women on this forum mentioned paying around $8,000 for the procedure, whereas
the doctors' official websites list significantly higher prices... 😕
3.- And what about recovery?
How long does the healing process actually take? I read somewhere that bruising lingers for about two months and that it isn't wise
to undergo the surgery during the summer. I am genuinely struggling to figure out how
I would manage all of that alongside school and my other responsibilities...
4.- Since I don't live in the local area...
how many trips will I need to make for consultations and check-ups? Both before and after? From what I understand,
one stays at the clinic for two days... you stay overnight, they remove the packing the next day, and then you head home??
...and then you have to return again for a follow-up appointment?? 😕

3.- Recovery?
How long does this typically last? I read somewhere that bruises usually fade within two months, and apparently, it isn't even recommended to let them linger.
Scheduling surgery during the summer? I honestly can't wrap my head around how anyone could manage that.
She would try to coordinate all of that alongside her schoolwork and other obligations...
4.- Since I’m not originally from a major metro area like New York City...
How many times am I expected to show up for these exams and screenings? Before? After? From what I’ve gathered so far...
So, they stay for two days... sleep through one night, then remove the tampons the very next morning and just head straight home?
...and so, we find ourselves heading back for another follow-up appointment? 😕

1. ...
At the Gulic Clinic in Orlando, the price is around $1,600 with Dr. Glusac; I can't speak for other providers. However, he includes both the septal deviation correction—if you're having breathing issues—and the aesthetic refinement in that single quote.
If you’re referring to the surgery itself, it lasts about two hours. You wake up feeling zero pain—right up until the moment they rip the medical tape off your skin, which is honestly the only part that stings. You won't see any typical bruising or discoloration, though your nose will definitely look swollen. For the next two or three months, your nose might look a bit oversized, but you can easily massage that swelling down. As for the dark circles under your eyes, if you stick to using ice packs, those should subside within two weeks at most. After those first fourteen days, you'll be perfectly fine to head out in public again.
I wouldn't recommend scheduling this surgery during the summer months due to the increased risk of nasal swelling. Based on what you told me about how your nose reacts to the cold, I suspect the swelling might subside a bit faster in cooler weather, provided you stay out of the sun. Post-op, you’ll deal with some crusting inside the nose, which typically heals best through rinsing with saline or seawater. That’s actually what my doctor suggested—so if you have the option to head to the coast after the procedure, take it. Since Dr. Glusac practices in Makarska, I’ve decided to just combine my vacation with the surgery.
With Dr. Glusac, the process is pretty straightforward. Right after surgery, you head straight home with the mold on your nose. You have to return for a follow-up in two days to get the nasal gauze and tampons changed. Then, you go back in seven days to have the mold removed and the surgical tape applied. After another week once that tape comes off, you're finally done.

I have already shared my own experience with you, though I can't say if other doctors follow the same approach. Dr. Glusac utilizes internal techniques, which means there aren't any visible incisions or scarring on the surface.

From what I gather regarding your situation, since you were in a cooler climate, the inflammation should subside much faster, though you really have to stay out of the sun. Also, just a heads up, you'll deal with some crusting inside the nose post-op, which you'll need to manage with saline rinses and sea salt sprays.^^

🙄

Which month did you actually go under the knife?
To be perfectly honest, the procedure itself doesn't phase me at all—nor does the thought of having the packing removed or dealing with those internal splints...
The only thing that genuinely concerns me is the bruising... 😲

Ugh, tell me about it. I know exactly how you feel. I had my nose done three months ago, and right after they took the cast off, I spent two weeks thinking, "Finally, it's perfectly STRAIGHT" 😲 only to realize it was actually five times larger than it should be!!! 🙂🙂

Fast forward to today—three months later—it finally looks good... and it’s STILL swollen!!!!! Well, the tip is swollen, it feels hard, and there's internal swelling too. So, yeah, just goes to show that for some of us (not everyone), it takes a while to reach the final shape. 😳:2up:

I only recently started looking at myself in the mirror and taking photos again, and honestly, I'm really happy... and it’s only going to get better. My surgeon was right when he told me to expect a full year before everything truly settles into place. 😉

Just try to relax. It’s tough. You start questioning if the whole thing was even worth it, but trust me, things will change.

Patience pays off. 😁

I’ve noticed hardly anyone is posting photos lately. Not sure what the reason is... personally, I always found finding someone else's progress shots to be a bit of a comfort. So, here's an example. before and after 🙂 and yeah, the 😁 is still a bit swollen 🤣

Wow, this is actually a fantastic job. Seriously, props to the surgeon—they did such a beautiful job on you, it looks incredibly natural.😁

It is just those bruises... 😲

The surgery was on August 10th, right in the middle of summer. 🙂

The bruising under your eyes usually lasts about as long as the mold and bandages—roughly two weeks. As for nose swelling, that can linger for up to two months. It isn't a major issue; honestly, I actually prefer my swollen nose to how it looked before, especially knowing it will likely settle down even more over time... xD

I haven't had a chance to scroll through every single reply yet, so please forgive me if this has already been covered.
Basically, I’ve been dealing with some persistent issues with my nose—my right nostril is almost constantly blocked. It looks like I’m eventually going to need surgery just to breathe properly. What I’m wondering is, if someone decided to go for a bit of an aesthetic touch-up at the same time, what kind of price tag are we looking at? My assumption is that insurance won't cover any of the cosmetic side of things, so does the cost follow the standard rate for rhinoplasty, maybe somewhere in the range of 7-10 $0.00??

Thanks 😁 I was basically hunting for my "original" nose just so he could fix it! The tip (which isn't fully visible yet because the swelling is pretty intense) is the same one my brother and dad have. I didn't want to lose that since we actually look like a family. My pitch was simple: I want this exact nose, just without the bump and with a slightly smaller tip. That was it. (He also had to widen it because breathing wasn't exactly great, plus some cartilage work inside... yuck!) 😲 Dr. Zambelli performed the procedure in Cleveland. I'm thrilled 😍 though it took me three months just to get an appointment... and now my nose and I still have plenty of healing left to do!🤣

The tip (which you can't fully see yet because the swelling is still intense) is identical to my brother’s and my father’s. I had absolutely no intention of losing that family resemblance since we all look alike. My request was simple: I want this specific nose, just without the hump and with a slightly smaller tip, while keeping everything else the same! (Plus, they had to widen it because I couldn't breathe properly, and they had to insert some cartilage inside—ugh, gross!) 😲 Dr. Zambelli performed the surgery in Cleveland. I am beyond thrilled with the results 😍 though it took me three months just to make the appointment... and now my nose and I still have a long road of recovery ahead of us!🤣

It honestly looks fantastic. At least now you can actually breathe 🙂 and you look wonderful. I'm crossing my fingers that the swelling goes down quickly for you!
