Every single scene is pure madness... so I have no idea what you're talking about when you claim the humor in Sex Drive is mindless. I've watched M*A*S*H from start to finish a million times; I don't need to tell you that I practically idolize them, along with Seinfeld. But M*A*S*H, Seinfeld, and Jerry Lewis are completely different beasts. That kind of comedy relies almost entirely on verbal wit, clever wordplay, and punchlines woven into a tightly scripted narrative. It takes a massive amount of intelligence to pull that off. You have to sit down and constantly grind to invent jokes that actually land and feel fresh every single time. For a five-season series, that's a Sisyphus-level task, and it deserves immense respect. So, friend, in your neck of the woods, watching all those films you listed might be quite an achievement, but where I'm from, it's just basic culture.

The unrated version is honestly superior to the original. It’s easily the best comedy I’ve ever seen—I guess parodies are just the funniest genre, even though I've sat through plenty of garbage.

The reason Sex Drive is trash is because it's just so incredibly cliché, especially the main guy. Honestly, it drives me crazy when the lead is this much of an idiot doing stupid stuff, all while the script tries to claim he's actually smart and decent or whatever. And that scene where his mom just bursts in at the start? Please. The whole thing is predictable, dumb, and totally played out. That definitely isn't the case with comedies made by Apatow...

Look, my take is simple: anyone trashing this movie clearly lacks any sense of humor. Honestly, I was nearly moved to tears by some of the scenes—specifically that bit with the character playing the Amish guy. I mean, come on. A film can have a ridiculous premise, sure, but once you introduce characters and moments like that, you simply cannot remain indifferent.
