It’s honestly such a relief they were all busy tearing each other apart in those heated debates before and after the big game—that way, the ladies on the forum actually had a chance to put a face to all those over-the-top, extra comments! And hey, looks like they’re still just as loud and active today...

They’re basically just lurking around, waiting for the thread to finally pop open—but honestly, you really ought to give at least a month's notice so people actually have enough time to get ready!🤷

I mean... I guess we're talking about getting ready for the big game at Madison Square Garden and all that...🙄

We're basically witnessing a mass migration... these unruly teens have driven the nerds out of the hazelnut groves and across the entire forum landscape. Everyone’s out there dealing with their own personal trauma in a new homeland—assuming they even survived the move. That's just life, I guess... everything is fine until you end up over at Health & Wellness.

In short, general discussion threads—where someone looking to revitalize a topic sees an opportunity to resolve their own lingering doubts—absolutely make sense to revive; however, attempting to address an author from 2002 by advising them, six years later, whether or not to call someone using a title like "Urgent: Should I call or not?" is frankly a bit insane.

Furthermore, on our forum, we already maintain a featured top thread List of Important Topics, which serves as a sort of collection of master topics, where I invite you all to post your inquiries so that we might avoid the daily occurrence of new threads being opened regarding the exact same issues. 👍

There were moments here on the forum where things felt a bit schizophrenic—like we were caught in this weird loop where people were getting flagged for starting new threads when old ones already existed, but then at the exact same time, they’d get penalized just for bumping an old thread back to the top... 😵

Speaking as a moderator, here is my official, *ex cathedra* take: I am never, ever going to penalize someone for reviving a thread if they’re actually adding something useful or constructive to the conversation, no matter how old the topic is... but, if someone is just posting fluff or starting a thread for no reason at all, then yeah, I’ll step in and issue a penalty...

Then, of course, you have those certain "eternal" topics—you know, those classic evergreen discussions, like the one about male anatomy dimensions 🙏... before we finally put together a massive mega-thread for it, every few days it seemed like someone would pop up and start some new, rather "cocky" discussion thread...

As for the quality of the discussions here on the forum—look, us moderators can't exactly go around banning people just because they decide to start threads that don't interest everyone else... we see ourselves more as gardeners, really—we just tend to and nurture the topics that actually take root, which is pretty much our whole job (right, bellwether? 🙏 😬)

Nobody is stopping you "old-timers" from starting whatever topics catch your eye... 🙂

The reason you feel that way is because when you first arrived, you were the newcomer (if you'll permit my profound deduction), and every single topic felt fresh. Then comes that inevitable moment where the patterns start repeating themselves.🤣 Imagine the forum users hanging out on Reddit back in 2004... within a year or less, those same topics would have become just as tedious, exhausting, and mindless to them as they are to us now.
It’s a cycle, my friend... a continuous loop.
