Once the core group finally moves on, I’ll likely be heading out the door right along with them.🀷

It's the same story on my end. Honestly, I don't spend nearly as much time on this forum as I used to.🀷
Eventually, a new crowd will step upβ€”and they're already starting to show upβ€”to pick up the pieces and carry on these exact same debates.πŸ˜‰

So, why does someone get banned if they start a new thread that’s already active... especially when they go out of their way to be all cynical and write "check if this topic exists" right there in the post?

I’m completely at the mercy of your moderation whims.🀷

I’m not sending any private messages to the mods because I’m hoping someone here actually relates to what I’m saying. I’ve been posting on this forum for quite a while nowβ€”mostly on the old boardsβ€”and honestly, I can’t remember a time when things were this messy. It used to be much more civilized.

Look, I get it. People are learning, stuff is new to them (it was to me once, too), but for the love of God, it never once crossed my mind to dig up a thread from several years ago and start talking again.
Even if it isn't about some grand rule, it’s just basic internet etiquette. The worst part is when people who aren't even involved start replying to these ancient threads, and suddenly the entire first page is cluttered with noise, creating a whole discussion for a topic where the original author basically died of old age during the reign of Ramesses VIII.πŸ™„

Anyway... that’s all I wanted to say.

Feel free to ban me or whatever else you want to do in situations like this.πŸ™„

Thanks for nothing and goodbye.

You probably have to go grab a few coffees with the "moderators" or hit up some pizza hangouts with the regulars over there to get anything done.
