It really depends... how familiar are you with the trilogy released on PlayStation?

It really depends on whether you're talking about the movies or the games. If we're talking movies, they definitely win. But as far as the games go... it's a toss-up. Let's face it, it's rare for a movie—animated or live-action—based on a video game to actually turn out decent. In recent years, it feels like most feature-length animated films are just straight-up garbage. This isn't even bad by comparison. Honestly, they should probably just make more sequels instead.

Just one more thing before I move on (I don't want anyone thinking I'm just here to derail this thread 😁) — I only skimmed through the movie just to catch a few lines of dialogue (and honestly, they sounded like something straight out of an adult film 🙏 🙏 🙏), but am I seeing things, or does that agent look exactly like Angelina Jolie? 🤷

That never even crossed my mind... It doesn't really look like it.

I checked it out yesterday and honestly, it’s pretty awesome, even though I'm not even really a Resident Evil fan... Just give me zombies, plenty of shooting, some explosions, massive monsters, and a cool Leon—that’s more than enough for me.

The only real thing is that the lip-syncing and facial animations could've been a bit smoother, but whatever...

I’ve never actually played Resident Evil, though I have sat through all three movies. The first one was decent enough, but the sequels were total train wrecks. I just finished watching this animated feature RE: Degeneration today. Honestly? It’s impressive to see such high-end computer animation, but the story itself doesn't really go anywhere. It isn't terrible, per se, and I'll give it credit for not dragging on past the ninety-minute mark. 😁

There are a ton of trailers floating around on YouTube that actually look pretty promising.

Has anyone else seen this thing? What's the verdict on this animated movie?

It was decent enough for a first viewing. However, I doubt I’ll ever feel the need to watch it again.

I'm a huge fan of the Resident Evil series. I can't even count how many dozens of times I've played through the first three games... yet I still don't want to watch this. To be honest, the poor audio synchronization really bothered me.

If we were talking about a live-action movie, I’d probably be down for it, but since it’s an animated project, I’m not really feeling it.
When I first heard rumors about this "movie," I actually got pretty hyped thinking it might be a sequel to Extinction.

Hey, look, the movie isn't half bad—it actually holds its own! 👍
Personally, I dug it, even if there were moments where it could have really stepped it up—but regardless, it's a solid watch.

I just finished it, so now I’m heading over to IMDb to leave my rating. I'm still chewing on it, honestly, but I think I'll settle on a decent 6/10.👍

I think it’s actually pretty great. 😉
