1. Why isn't there an "x" button somewhere to just shut this thing down?
2. And seriously—why wasn't it designed to just auto-close itself after five or ten seconds?
3. Why is it set up to actively hinder people from actually using the site? Specifically, I’m talking about how it gets in the way of clicking through links to certain boards.

If it offers you any shred of comfort, I’m running into the exact same wall despite having moderator privileges over there. It really is incredibly annoying, isn't it? I find myself agreeing with everything you laid out in your post.

Seriously, this thing is driving me insane.

I’m trying to get past it, but it’s slower than a Verizon pop-up window.
Now I’m heading over to the CoD servers to reclaim my speed—revenge is mine alone.😁

Bottom line: the questions in the original post are spot on. Someone in charge needs to step up, give us straight answers, and kill off that Verizon pop-up window once and for all.

Honestly, the people in charge of marketing need to get it together—can you guys just shut these things down already? If you can't manage it, take responsibility for your own ads, because I haven't seen a single one on this forum in six months...

To all my fellow users out there: just grab the Adblock Plus add-on and subscribe to the custom filter list. And if you want to get rid of those obnoxious pop-up windows once and for all, go with the R.I.P. add-on.

Apparently, there’s some version called Internet Explorer plus for IE, but honestly, why would anyone even touch that piece of junk software?

I just use Internet Explorer without any add-ons and I don't see that damn ad at all. 🤔

Look, even the admin has to make a living somehow.🙂
