Can't believe there isn't a thread for this 😕 maybe I'm just terrible at finding the right one 😁
Rewatched it yesterday for the first time in ages. Still hits just as hard as it did nine years ago when I first saw it.

Anyway,
that '98 film starring Denzel Washington, John Goodman, Donald Sutherland, James Gandolfini...

Hard to say anything other than the cast is incredible. Denzel is a genius, as per usual, 🙂 even if his character isn't fleshed out with much detail.

The way they wove in the Rolling Stones' "Time Is on My Side" was perfect.🙏

Captivating from start to finish. Great tension, and that ending is top-tier 🙏 (pairing Sympathy for the Devil with the final scene—chef's kiss). Not to mention Azazel—left-handed, sadistic piece of trash who loves to sing.😛

I remember humming "Time Is on My Side" for days after my first viewing, driving everyone around me crazy.😬

That was an absolutely stellar film. It’s one of those rare cinematic experiences that caught me completely off guard; I initially sat down to watch it just to kill some time, fully expecting it to be a tedious bore.

Honestly, even now, I get chills just thinking back to that plot...😲

I might also suggest checking out Frailty. It’s a completely different story—nothing really to do with this movie—but if you dug Fallen, you'll likely enjoy this one too.

Great movie. I still remember watching it at a buddy's place right when it first hit the local Blockbuster, and we were absolutely floored. For the next month, we couldn't stop messing around with:time is on my side,yes it is🙂

It’s pretty funny when Azazel walks into the office and everyone breaks into song, only for them to have zero memory of it later. 🤣

The meaning of life right there. Honestly, one of the best scenes ever. 🙏

So last night I’m hanging out with some friends and I start raving about this one movie. I don't even remember the title, so I'm just describing the plot... everyone's nodding along like, "Oh yeah, that was awesome!" But here's the kicker: absolutely NOBODY can actually remember what it's called. It's wild.

time is on my side and the walk toward an execution....

It’s quite good, really—I just sat down to watch it for the first time.

During the first half of the film, I found myself shivering from the tension, 🙂 though it does soften up later on; regardless, it remains an excellent piece of cinema.👍

Highly recommend!

Yeah, I'm with you there. I've lost count of how many times I've blasted that track on repeat after finishing the film. And man, that movie is pure genius 👍. Seriously, if you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and go watch it.

That movie was absolutely brilliant, though I found myself left with quite a mountain of questions after the credits rolled. For instance, why on earth was Denzel smoking those toxic cigarettes? And logically speaking, why didn't he just aim for a headshot to end things? If this demon can jump from person to person and even infect a cat, does that mean it could theoretically spread to a tiny microorganism or any other living organism at all? What exactly is the underlying principle behind how the demon kills? Furthermore, how is it that the demon didn't transfer to the little boy after killing his father, despite the markings appearing on the child's chest? Does everything truly originate from Ris, or was he also "demonized" by someone else beforehand? And if the demon is so infectious, why wasn't Denzel affected, especially since Ris was holding his hand right at the beginning?
Why didn't the demon transfer to that police officer whom Ris grabs while waiting for the execution?

He wanted to be absolutely certain the demon wouldn't survive. If you shot him in the head, the entity might have stayed alive for a bit after him—maybe ten minutes, maybe half an hour—and then someone shows up and the demon escapes (which is basically what happened anyway, just through a different route).

That's about all I remember.

It’s one of those underrated gems from the 90s that nobody seems to talk about anymore...

Such an incredible movie 👍🙏!

And that ending? It honestly gave me chills👍!
