If anyone has already asked a question similar to this, please just leave me a link to where it can be found..
I was wondering if there might be a specific program designed for downloading protected music...
Essentially, you find a music video that you can watch and listen to online, yet you aren't able to actually download it to your computer.
Or, perhaps more specifically, does a program exist that could at least extract the audio from a video, even if it cannot download the full video itself?
Thank you all..

Have you ever tried using Microsoft? You can grab whatever music you're looking for...

Alright, then you can help me get all these settings squared away before I actually start downloading—and honestly, walk me through the actual download process too, because I barely understood a single word of that tutorial up above.

It seems to be quite an interesting program... I went ahead and installed it (Microsoft 0.704), though I suppose it isn't functioning quite right.🤷
I gave it a shot, but I guess it just isn't working...

If my memory serves me correctly:
Head over to settings:
Under personal information,
pick a nickname.......
As for speed? I'm not sure what you're running (which matters most at the start), and your email doesn't really matter here.

In connection settings,
check the box for firewall (passive, last resort).

Then downloads:
The first one is the folder where your music actually gets saved.
The second is just a temporary folder used during the download process—you should decide where that goes, maybe your C, D, or E drive.

Next, sharing.
This is where you add the music, movies, or photos you want others to be able to grab from you. You'll want at least 2-3GB, though more is better. To access certain HUB-owned servers, you generally need at least 10GB available for sharing.

That should be plenty to get you started. Oh, right, the hubs.
Go to Favorite-Bottom-favorite, select New-address- paste the hub address, and then check the box on the left side.-
After that, go to search- type in a song or artist -size- normal file type- audio if it's a song, then click search and you're good to go.👍
Dammit, I forgot to include a few current hubs here.

Ugh, I’m dealing with two headaches again. First off, my new address isn't showing up in my favorites—it's just... not there. And second, don't go expecting a massive library from me yet, because I literally just finished setting up my brand-new PC and haven't had time to download a ton of music or videos yet.

Kyle Diaz6 said:I'm running into two issues again. The new address isn't showing up in my favorites, and I don't actually have much music or video on hand since I just picked up a new computer.

When you click that yellow FAVORITE icon, a window pops up where you select the HUB you're connecting to. Just hit the New button at the bottom, and a small dialog will appear—just type the HUB address I sent you into the address field.
As for the other thing, just start by loading in whatever music you have and maybe two or three DivX movies, or even just one large 4-5 GB file.
I'm running version 0.699, so hopefully there isn't a significant difference...

These are the rules from one particular hub, but honestly, most places follow pretty much the same thing. Just grab a DVD movie from a friend, toss it into the share folder, and you're good to go...

So I had my whole divx xxx collection ready to go, but man, I’ve got plenty of regular movies in there too. I stayed up all night setting this thing up—now I'm sitting on almost three gigs of data—but it still won't work! I'm trying to hit that specific smiden on the HUB, and I even picked those US ones... zapto.org:10000, you know? As far as the rules go, I think I followed 9 and 10 perfectly, but damn it, it just won't pick up the signal. Maybe it needs more GBs???

Plug all those HUB-owned addresses from the list above into the tool, then run a test search for something like -trio gušt-. You won't find much on these HUBs...

And me? I try to run it and absolutely nothing happens—it just sits there. It’ll launch up, sure, but it won't actually search for anything... nothing at all.

And another thing—I can't even figure out my actual speed because all it says is: line speed (upload)___________ Mibits/s. Like, how am I supposed to know what my speed is in Mibits/s if the number isn't even there?

My speed is 1024/256, and I set mine to 0.2 Mibits/s
Also, go into the sharing settings; you'll see an option at the bottom right for upload slots—just set that to 3

You can just use YouTube... If you paste the link into www.keepvid.com and then run it through the total video Converter = tool, you can grab it in MP3 format, or even save it as a 3GP file if you want to keep the actual music video itself.

There is actually a superior utility for downloading audio tracks and video content from specific websites. It’s called Orbit, and I’ve had quite a bit of success using it myself. I’ve used it for everything from pulling movies off YouTube to grabbing songs from various random sites on the web...
