Best documentaries about electronic music and DJs?

I was just sitting here wondering how many of you guys have actually sat through documentaries or movies about electronic music and the whole DJ culture...
Does that kind of stuff even exist? All I can really think of are "It's All Gone Pete Tong" and "Berlin Calling"...

If you know of any good ones, please drop some titles here...👍

It’s a film based on true events—essentially tracing the evolution of the New York City club scene starting back in the early 80s—covering places like Studio 54, bands like Joy Division, New Order, Happy Mondays, the whole ecstasy craze... and so on.
I watched this quite a few years ago; I actually found it pretty compelling, even though that specific genre of music isn't really my thing.

Hi Tech Soul - Techno & Detroit Music Documentary

I’ve got that *Electroma* thing, or whatever you want to call it, by Daft Punk, but it never really clicked for me. I honestly think they have much better stuff out there if you actually bother to look.

Anyway, movies like *Trainspotting* or *Spun* have killer soundtracks and capture that drug culture perfectly, and then you've got acid house—which is more about the trip than the tunes, really. But none of those are strictly "electro" movies in terms of their actual themes; they just happen to use great electronic soundtracks to set the mood.

Not every single film featuring law enforcement or electronic music actually manages to connect them 😁

I just caught the trailer for that documentary about Astral, and while I haven't downloaded the full thing yet, you should try to track it down—it’s actually picked up a few awards. Plus, isn't it fascinating to see how that specific scene evolved right here in America?

A documentary film about Swedish House Mafia - This was an awesome watch. It follows the whole journey of Swedish House Mafia, tracking those three DJs as they grind their way through everything from massive festivals to smaller club gigs.
