Growing up around alcoholism really shapes who you become, I suppose. People raised in households where alcohol abuse was a constant factor tend to share certain patterns in their personalities.
It usually manifests as this deep-seated sense of shame, chronic shyness, or just a persistent lack of self-confidence and feeling like you're somehow less than everyone else...
If you want to help this community actually stay active, maybe consider signing up...

Estimates suggest there are roughly 300,000 people struggling with alcoholism here in the States.

Sending my very best to all of you!!!!

So, there are four of us sisters, and we grew up with a father who struggled with alcoholism. We’re all adults now, though we still happen to be living under the same roof... and honestly, we’ve seen enough to last several lifetimes, so if anyone out there is going through something similar and needs a hand, please reach out. Between our own history and some of the work we’ve done with youth programs, we know how to navigate this kind of stuff, so don't hesitate to send a message if you need to talk... sending good vibes to everyone
