I’m not really a huge horror fan, to be honest, but I did sit through it a few days ago, mostly just because of Shannyn...πŸ™‚The movie itself felt pretty mediocreβ€”nothing groundbreaking, just a collection of tropes I've seen a thousand times before...

So, this is one of the latest horror releases out there. Honestly, I feel like most modern horror movies just don't hit the mark anymoreβ€”they lack that actual substanceβ€”but I have to admit, this one is genuinely great. Here’s the setup:

The whole concept revolves around cell phones. It follows a lonely young girl who uses her phone to kill others. Basically, people receive a call right before they dieβ€”this weird sound plays, followed by a voicemail that captures the moment of their death, along with the exact time it happens. For me, the movie was excellent. It stays tense from start to finish, and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Honestly, one of the absolute worst movies I've sat through all year... just the same tired tropes we've seen a thousand times before, plus the acting was pretty rough too.

As someone who lives for horror, I'm right there with him.πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž
This flick was a massive, naive letdownβ˜•β˜• so I don't get the hype aboveβ€”people clearly haven't seen much decent horror if they're calling this masterpiece.πŸ™„β˜•

The movie was just okay, I guess. There’s a pretty interesting premise if you can get through the setup, but man... they completely botched the ending. Total disaster. :S

Yeah, the ending was a complete disaster, no doubt about it, but it’s kind of funny how
it feels like death is just breathing down their necks the whole time
like, you are, you are, you are! and thenβ€”bam!

That was an absolutely fantastic film!

In my estimation, this stands as the premier remake of an East Asian horror classic, surpassed only by the impact of The Ring.

To be perfectly honest, this was a rather modest production. It lacked the depth it needed to truly resonate, and I can't help but feel the narrative could have benefited from a much more thorough and nuanced development.

Personally, I’m a fan!

It’s undoubtedly superior to both The Grudge and Dark Water.

It reminds me a little bit of Final Destination!

I am more than willing to film a sequel!

So you're comparing this to The Grudge? Pleaseβ€”those two movies aren't even in the same zip code.

Just so you know: critics have officially labeled it the second worst movie of this decade (2000-2009). β˜•

What a ridiculous movie.
Honestly, the dumbest part was when she got killed in the studio; I was actually tearing up from laughing so hard at that scene.πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ™

Just another one of those clichΓ© Hollywood flops
2/10 (would’ve been higher if they actually cast some hot actresses β˜•)

Haha, I just finished watching this movie and honestly, there's a lot of πŸ™‚, but it wasn't half bad. Though, like some random person on a forum said, πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚, the whole theme is pretty controversial.

I can't stop thinking about that one part halfway through where my friend's phone starts ringing, hahaha, and everyone is just sitting there too terrified to actually pick up. Hah.

I just stumbled upon this thread. I watched this one ages ago, but man, it really stuck with me. I’ve always been a sucker for horror movies with a supernatural twist. This one was terrifyingβ€”I actually watched it alone in the middle of the night, and it genuinely creeped me out. I couldn't even fall asleep afterward, which I guess is exactly what makes a horror movie actually good. The plot held my attention too, and I actually preferred the ending since it leaves everything hanging.
I tried rewatching it later, but since it was during the day, it didn't hit quite the same way. Still, that first impression stays with you.
Bottom line: it's a great movie!
