Dr. Saric at Mayo Clinic - any experiences?

I'm looking to get a thorough examination of my eye's exterior and retina. A few different doctors have suggested that Dr. Miller over at Mayo Clinic might be the best specialist for this, and I've heard he also sees patients at the City Health Center.
Since these suggestions are coming from medical professionals rather than actual patients, I was hoping to hear some firsthand accounts from anyone who has actually sat in his exam room.

If you have the means, honestly, just head to a private clinic—they’re way better equipped than our public hospitals. Plus, if it turns out you actually need extra testing, you can get everything handled right then and there. In the public system, they just bounce you from one specialist to another, and you can't get anything sorted in a single day. At that point, the cost at a private facility isn't even that much of a dealbreaker. Even if someone like Dr. Smith were the best doctor in the state, his effectiveness is limited because he can't solve everything solo—there are just too many hurdles. And look, if God forbid things take a turn for the worse after seeing a private doc, they'll tell you what needs to happen next, and then you can always choose to go back to a major public hospital for the long-term stuff. I'm saying this from my own experience—which, unfortunately, I have quite a bit of—mostly dealing with specialists regarding rib issues. Good luck.
