From what I’ve gathered—and this is just my take—that's pretty much wiretapping. If that person catches you snooping, you could be looking at a massive lawsuit or even actual prison time. It’s honestly just as shady as planting hidden cameras in a public restroom to spy on people while they're changing or using the facilities.
But hey, if we're talking about kids using computers running Windows Ultimate (or whatever the lower versions are called, my brain is fried), there's actually built-in parental controls. You can set those up to log everything they're browsing online, and probably even what they're typing on Microsoft Messenger, though I think you'd need admin rights to pull that off.

..I mean, are you really going to sneak into his apartment while he's out just to install something on his computer? That sounds risky enough as it is, but honestly, besides the risk, it's just plain rude to be eavesdropping on someone like that.

If you happen to have his username and password, there’s no reason you can't grab those logs. Just make sure you wait until he’s offline to log in, and set things up so the logs save automatically if he hasn't already configured that. Have fun!

You can just install a keylogger on his machine while he’s out. Once it's set up, it tracks everything—every website he visits, every single thing he types, even his passwords. It shows you absolutely everything.

Honestly, there's zero chance anyone could pull a stunt like that on me because I actually know my way around a computer and I recognize what every single process is doing, plus I've got a solid firewall set up so if I catch anything trying to leak data, I just track it down and kill it immediately.
That being said, I'm still gonna test this software out before I set it up for my brother, since he's pretty much clueless when it comes to tech and I basically act as his IT guy.
And look, if I ever found out one of my buddies was the one who made this, I’d report them instantly and make their life a total living hell, because honestly, that's not what a real friend does.

So, you mean to tell me I have to install that thing on his laptop just to "eavesdrop"?
Next time you're hanging out at his place, just say you're thirsty. While he's busy grabbing you a drink, sneak a peek at his messages. 😁That's the best way to do it.
