I’m looking to help out a friend of mine. She received an email containing an activation code along with a few different links. The problem is, no matter which link she clicks or how many times she tries to enter that code, the site just loops her right back to the start. It’s like hitting a brick wall. She actually reached out to the admin via email yesterday and is currently just sitting there waiting to hear back. Does anyone know how long it typically takes for an admin to respond? Also, if any of you tech-savvy folks have a suggestion on what might be causing this loop, I’d really appreciate it.

To be honest, I’m not even convinced the reporting portal actually sends out any kind of activation code. Just DM me her email address and username so I can look into it myself.

edit: I just tracked down the message on Reddit (so it wasn't a DM), but it was posted under a different username. I'm assuming it's yours. I'm going to go investigate whatever is going on with the account mentioned in that post.

👍 I sent it over to the admin, so I'll update everyone here once it's sorted out.
But honestly, that code you mentioned still feels incredibly off to me. Either my friend completely botched the info in those emails, or she just miscommunicated it to you. There simply isn't such a thing as an activation code for profile setup on this Reddit.

That was just the activation number, not the actual activation code.
Now they can technically log into their profile, but they're still stuck—they can't send messages or drop a post yet. When they click those links in the email, it just says, "Your account has been activated but you are currently in the moderation queue to be added to the forum."

Could you please ask my friend to try logging back into the forum?
