Can't start new threads or post? (Email activation issues)

So, you can access the politics section just fine, but starting a new thread is where things break down? Please, try creating a topic over in another sub-forum on the politics board instead.
Also, could you please test this out in some other part of the forum entirely, away from the politics section?

I need these details so I can provide a precise description of the issue to the Administrator, because as far as I can tell, there isn't any restriction placed on your account within the politics section.

I can start a new thread anywhere—both in Politics and in other sections. It’s only when I'm in the European Union section that the error pops up.

Well, we finally figured out what the issue is.

In one very significant way, the European Union subforum differs from every other section you've posted in so far; specifically, only Moderators, Super Moderators, and the Administrator are permitted to start new threads there.

You can always reach out ball, and she'll get a thread started if there's actually a need for it.

If you run into any issues getting your user profile activated, just shoot me a message via the Tapatalk chat if that's available to you. Otherwise, I guess you could just report a post—preferably one from this thread—and include all the details about what’s going wrong in the report description. That should work too, maybe.

What kind of nonsense is this? Seriously, if someone tries to open an account and the activation link doesn't work, they’re supposedly expected to just reach out and complain from... what, another existing account? I mean, how exactly are you supposed to contact support using an account that isn't even active yet? It's a bit of a circular logic problem, I guess. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it feels a little flawed.

What is actually going on with the people opening accounts for the first time? I mean, seriously... you see some truly bizarre stuff.

Did you try submitting that post using an inactive clone account and it failed, or is it just Jambras being difficult? People do this all the time, as you can clearly see from the discussion in this thread.
