Since we’re already talking about Microsoft, can you actually have a decent conversation using a headset over a basic dial-up modem, or is the audio lag just going to be absolute garbage? I haven't tried it yet, so I figured I'd ask first.

I guess you could just open up their chat window, take a quick screenshot, and then crop out the avatar. 🙂

Can anyone help me out here? I can't seem to get into Messenger no matter what I try. It just keeps giving me this error saying, "please type your Microsoft passport sign in name in the form of an e-mail address."

Look, you just need to enter the exact password using, say, xxxxxxx@gmail.com or xxxxxxx@outlook.com—depending on which email provider you actually use—along with the password, and everything should run perfectly fine.

Don't even bother😬. If I were still stuck on dial-up, I wouldn't even call it a video call—it would just be an expensive slideshow.

No way... you wouldn't even be able to run it........
Maybe if you had two ISDN lines—but even then, it would be incredibly laggy... let alone trying it on a 56k modem......

I pretty much know how to trigger almost every feature you listed, but whenever I try, nothing happens. For example, there's that option to send a nudge right after a second message... I turned it on, but after the first one, I just get a notification saying I can't send messages so frequently. I can grab
avatars, but I could already do that before (check the screenshot). As for changing my contact's status (busy, online...), I'm honestly not sure about that one yet. Also—I haven't found a way to leave a message for someone while they're offline so it pops up automatically (at least, that's how I took it). But just in case... thanks for the software! If you have a sec, could you explain why some of these options aren't actually activating for me???!!!😬
