Blood work: Full hormone panel?

Where is the best place to go for bloodwork: specifically looking at sexual hormones and thyroid levels?!
Should I head to Vinogradski or Rebro? And is this something you can just walk in for with a referral, or do I need to book an appointment in advance?

I ended up going to Rebro—just for my thyroid, really—and they had to squeeze me in within a month since it was my first time using a referral.
I was there for about three weeks or so, and the doctor checked me out and sent me straight for bloodwork and thyroid hormone tests. Even those take about a month to come back, I guess.

Maybe you could try Rebro if you aren't already an established patient there?

Hey there, so I went to see an endocrinologist over at Mayo Clinic, and man, those hormone tests really cost me $67, if I'm being honest. It definitely hit my wallet. You might want to look into going there yourself

Honestly, I wouldn't bother seeing an endocrinologist over there; I’d just stick to getting my blood work done.

I'm honestly not even entirely certain if a full hormonal panel is strictly necessary for me, so I think I might just bypass 😬 because of the cost and the wait times... Good luck to everyone else 🙂

It’s both the ovaries and the thyroid, really... so you just head over to your primary care physician first, and then have them write you a referral.

Hey everyone, so my daughter-in-law just handed me this referral to get my hormone levels checked out—sent me over to Mayo Clinic, apparently. From what I gather, you can just show up with the referral any day between 8 and 10 AM—no appointments needed, I guess—but they want the blood drawn on day 2 or 3 of my cycle.

I already posted about the thyroid stuff earlier.

My doctor told me it really needs to be done on the third day of my cycle, but now I'm second-guessing things... what happens if my period actually starts this Thursday?? Does the lab even stay open on Saturdays? I have a feeling it’s going to hit right on Thursday...

Usually the OB/GYN handles it. They need to tell you which day of your cycle to get tested anyway. Since those are specialist labs, it's all on them.😉😉
