Just realized today there's actually a comic where Batman and Ash cross paths. There’s gotta be some insane showdown happening in there. Looks pretty damn cool.

To me, Batman is just a total rip-off of RoboCop.

But honestly, the movie is incredible because of one of the most badass scenes ever put on film:
Rick: Oh, god! Don't! I've told you everything!
Batman: I know, Rick. I know you did.
Batman: But let's pretend you didn't!

Wait, what on earth are you basing that on?!

By the way, looking at that trio of actors—you’ve got Roxann Dawson, who everyone knows from her time playing B'Elanna Torres on Voyager, alongside Jeff Fahey, who’s been making waves lately as Franko Lapidus over on Lost, though he definitely cut his teeth playing those classic B-movie villains back in the day. 😁

In both scenarios, you have the villains taking out the protagonist, only for him to somehow crawl back from the brink to start a revenge spree. Plus, the main guy loses the love of his life along the way.

Take the primary antagonist in Detroit—that's Clarence Boddicker, a straight-up sadist and killer. Then look at Robert Durrant here; he's the exact same breed of psychopath.

Both Boddicker and Durrant answer to higher-ups that the protagonists used to be on good terms with before everything went south. Of course, these bosses are heavy hitters with plenty of influence.

Take the primary antagonist in Detroit—that’s Clarence Boddicker, a pure sadist and killer. Then look at Robert Durrant here; he's essentially the same breed of murderer.

Furthermore, both Boddicker and Durrant answer to powerful bosses who previously held positions of authority or had professional ties to Darkman and Detroit. These antagonists aren't just thugs; they are backed by heavy hitters.---

So, based on that, you're claiming Darkman is nothing more than a carbon copy of Detroit?!

Honestly, try applying that same logic to any Marvel movie. You'll quickly realize that many of them follow nearly identical beats, and some even share the exact same DNA... that doesn't automatically make them mere copies of one another.
