It’s possible. I’m not even going to argue that point. It’s just that—and maybe it’s just me—these EPji have this sort of immature, unpolished sense of fun to them... I don't know, perhaps it's just my own bias... 🙂

gentlepuma20! 🙂
To raw, unpolished sound—it’s honestly kind of soulful to me. Of course, an album needs all the technical bells and whistles to be considered a finished product ready for the market, but there's something else about it—aside from that unintelligible mess people call rx pharmacists—that feels innocent, naive, youthful, and just pure, unadulterated grit. In short: I love it.

I wasn't entirely sold on the new one.
The peak of *Tyranny of distance Hearts of Oak shake The Sheets* and *The Pharmacists*.

Daniel Bailey7 said:I've listened to their entire discography, but I have to admit, they’ve never really become much more than just "okay" to me. I guess maybe there's just too much Costell in everything they do for me to truly fall in love with it. 😬
In some parallel universe, I guess I actually managed to hurt you. 🙂

Those look pretty good to me too, I guess! 🙂
By the way, I think most of the material on *Treble in Trouble* actually belongs to the band sin Eater. They were basically what formed after Chisel, though they unfortunately fell apart before they could even get anything officially recorded. But, judging by that one song, it sounds like they might have been hanging out in Buffalo at the time. 😁

Ted Leo is basically a punk rock hero wielding an electric guitar
~ It’s like Paul Weller or Phil Lynott mixed with the Attractions, just shifted about twenty-five years down the road.
Everything I wrote above is just for illustration, though the guy is loaded with historical references—he's truly in a league of his own.
Tyranny of distance
Hearts of Oak
Shake the Sheets
It's a string of absolute aces; nothing but top-tier stuff, and honestly, it's all I've been listening to lately.
Fair warning: I travel to other states and stay up all night just to catch this band, so drivers, watch out for me on the road...
🙂
Long live Ted Leo and The Pharmacists!
The guy's got that Celtic soul; pour him a pint of Guinness (and maybe a hearty vegan meal too)!
Cheers!

So, this lineup—is that too radical for you? Because I am all in. Harrigan and Hanzaplast already snagged their tickets, now we're just waiting on everyone else... It isn't just Tedek, either. We've got Sonic Youth, Jonathan Richman, Patti Smith, Matt Elliott, Billy Bragg, and a whole bunch of other killer acts on the bill... 😍

I can clearly see the poise, the refined taste, the sheer elegance, and that unmistakable sense of style and class in this young man...

sjooo, Sunday! A weekend in Vienna! Christmas in Vienna! Ted Leo in Vienna! Hey, Patrick, what's up? :dancing:

I’d honestly rather just head straight to Barcelona, especially considering all the other attractions you can hit up there... 🙂

I have a feeling—given that whole "morning sickness" ordeal—that they might not be looking to see me again anytime soon... 😬

Yes! And everyone else too...
There’s this DVD series called "Burn to Shine" put together by Brendan Canty and Christoph Green. The whole concept is pretty cool—they find a house in some city that's about to be demolished, then they track down someone from the local scene to curate it. That person brings in dozens of musicians to play, they record everything, and then the house gets torn down... anyway, they did one in Washington and it features Tedek, which is just gorgeous—he plays Bleeding Powers, just him and his guitar, something I haven't seen in a long time. 😍
He absolutely crushed it—it sounded like five people were playing instead of just one 😍
His guitar work is killer 🙏
So yeah, just go download it. There aren't any clips online, so I couldn't even find the part where Tedek is by himself.
