I’ve lived with this my entire life. My earliest memories of it date back to when I was six, and now I’m forty-two. These episodes aren't frequent—they happen maybe once every year or two. For me, the fastest way to find relief is simply to lie down and stretch out. I used to see Robert Bernat back when he was practicing here in the States, and he told me straight up that I could live my life just like this, without even needing an ablation. Before I figured out how to manage the episodes myself, they used to drag on for up to two hours. Nowadays, they only last about five minutes, provided I get on my back immediately and settle into sleep mode; then, in no time at all, everything settles down.
