What antivirus are you guys using?

I used to run McAfee, Malwarebytes, and Spyware Medic on my machine, along with Comodo, but I ended up tossing them all out. The Comodo software was constantly bugging me about updates even when I’d just finished running them, and it kept nagging me about internet connection prompts every time an app tried to go online.

I don't have a single antivirus program installed on my machine. Honestly, I don't see the need for them; for some bizarre reason, in the four years I've been running this computer, I haven't dealt with a single spam email or a solitary virus!🙏

You wouldn't actually know that, though—since there's nothing for your computer to detect if the viruses are already there. 😉

Is there any true merit to relying on Malwarebytes?
Is there truly any reason to continue relying on Spyware Medic?
Is there truly any utility left in relying on Webroot Spy Sweeper?

Of course, things inevitably go awry from time to time, but they eventually find their way back to being clean.
Well, that's just what happens when you start digging through the darker corners of the web.

I stick exclusively to McAfee—it doesn't hog my system resources like most other software out there, which makes it my top choice. As for everything else? I don't own any of it.

I'm rocking AntiVir and Comodo... plus I keep things tidy with CCleaner, Spyware Medic, and CleanMyMac...
Honestly, though, Comodo is the heavy lifter here... I mean, having a solid firewall is everything...
haven't had a single issue with any digital junk or malware lately...

Norton is basically in a league of its own at this point... it's miles ahead of the rest...
The devs behind it are already finding holes in macOS and browsers before the viruses even hit, so they're always one step ahead... I remember seeing some stat from a couple years back saying Norton was the only one that hadn't been blindsided by a new virus in five years...
Personally, though, I just stick with McAfee because it’s simple, solid, fast, handles its own updates, and honestly, an antivirus isn't even as vital as having a decent firewall...
