Norton Antivirus 2006 Corporate is the gold standard. Having CCleaner Professional and Python (as part of System Mechanic) is a massive help. You just have to stay on top of your game by regularly updating your virus definitions and keeping an eye out for other risky files.

Do you mean using an editor? You just put this in the editor(ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew) and save it as a .bat with this name: IP.reset.bat?

I'm looking at this with an editor, but honestly, I don't see the point of this file. Can the author explain what we're actually supposed to get out of it?

I tried creating that file myself, but it won't work on my machine either.

Clicked the file, connected to the network, opened the browser, pasted the link, hit "FREE"...

Nothing. 80 seconds wasted. Maybe try performing this whole sequence in a different order?

My apologies to anyone who was looking for some clarity here. If this question is still on the table, then here is my answer:
The .bat extension is one of those executable extensions used back in the DOS days.

Don't talk nonsense. What you wrote will change your IP address if you're behind a DHCP server, but it will NEVER change your public IP. It only changes the local intranet IP, which is useless for anything on RapidShare.
