Best software for ripping encrypted DVDs?

Alright, I've run into a bit of a snag.
I managed to shrink this movie down—stripped out all the extra fluff like subtitles and different language tracks—so now the file is sitting at 3.5 GB. But when I try to burn it to a standard 4.7 GB DVD, it keeps telling me there isn't enough space. It makes zero sense.

The most likely culprit here isn't the DVD itself, but rather a lack of headspace on your hard drive where the software stores its temporary files during the burning process. Basically, even though the final file is small, the program needs extra room to work. When you hit the backup option and those settings pop up, look for "select target device" and then specifically "select folder for temporary files." You need to point that temporary directory to a partition or a folder on your drive that has at least 5 GB of free space available. Once you switch that path over to a drive with enough breathing room, it should run just fine.
