......your hands just caught between what's real and what's a dream....
.....staring out at the skyline...
...just passing through.....
..some folks trailing behind us.....

Hell yeah, they were legends, all of them at their absolute peak 🙂

but they were all basically Satanists... 😈 🙂

The Beach Boys are actually a pretty solid new wave band, don't you think?

hahaha, washed up 15 years ago, washed up 30 years ago, washed up 15 years ago, washed up 30 years ago, washed up 10 years ago, washed up 30 years ago. Always were trash. Washed up 30 years ago.🙏 🙏 🙏

So, is that really your take on why there aren't any decent bands left today? 😵

I mean, there’s honestly just so many killer bands out there right now... personally, I'm really digging groups like Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, or even Pearl Jam...

Nancy Taylor552 said:I’m honestly fascinated by that whole era... just completely. The entire scene was vibing on its own wavelength, chasing its own specific dream. Man, I would give anything to go back to those days. Back then, the whole country was ruled by pure rock 'n' roll energy... just total chaos in the best way possible.🙂 People used to hang out on the legendary "smoke-filled streets" of the underground scene... music was playing everywhere you turned. You had bands like Bruce Springsteen or Tom Petty playing intimate club shows in places like the Bowery in NYC... and in cities like Seattle, the first big grunge festivals were kicking off. The music scene there was massive. Even the punk legends were hitting up clubs in Chicago. It was absolute madness.🙂 Pure madness... yeah... those were the days. A perfect moment in time. And back then, people actually stood for something. They held onto real values.😉

Can I jump in here? Look, I wasn't even born yet, so I missed out on all of it. Most of my generation is pretty clueless, frankly—we're the ones who came along right after the collapse of the USA.
Still, I’d love to travel back to that era. I wish I could have lived through it. I want to live in that golden age where everything felt abundant, where our luck seemed endless, and where kids were being born into a world that actually felt alive and healthy.

I would love nothing more than to go back to those days... but since there's no time machine sitting in my garage... I guess all we can do is hold onto that feeling through the music...👍 😁

I don't know man, Ramirez is actually pretty alright... I mean, if he's trash to you, fine... but he's cool with me... damn... everyone's got their own thing, I guess...

But why are you trying to drag me down into a depression?

Bullshit.
We've got high-speed internet, PlayStations, and endless TV.
We’re being played just the same as they were, just in cyberspace instead... right? 🙂

I can't stand this sanitized era of Big Brother and social inequality...

That’s the only way. Or, if I had my choice, I’d jump back to that era but with a slightly more modern soundtrack. Everything out now is just garbage. I can't even scroll through a feed without some degenerate whining about Doc Martens (they even call me Hiholetsgo). Honestly, I don't understand how someone can be that dense.

Man, I don't even know what to say to you all... the only thing I can tell you for certain is how incredibly grateful I am that I grew up listening to
mother🙂
Laufer🙂
Jinxe🙂
Cold Brew🙂

I still haven't truly processed the breakup of Jinxe—honestly, it’s still hitting me just as hard today as it did back then...

Hey there, just revived this thread a bit...

So, I recently caught a documentary series on NBC called "our day" that I’ve been watching here and there. It was all about music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Since I’m no expert on that era, I ended up falling head over heels for one specific song. It’s got this light, slow rhythm and tone, and the music video was filmed cruising through the streets of Washington, D.C. with a camera mounted on a car—set in the 80s, if I recall correctly. I have no clue who the band is or what the track is called, but if anyone knows what I’m talking about, PLEASE let me know the band and song title...

That melody is stuck in my head constantly, and I can still see those old D.C. street views perfectly...

Anyway, thx in advance...
