So, in this fresh take on the all-time classic, we meet Gulliver (Jack Black), who’s basically this super talkative, high-energy government clerk. After accidentally signing up for a trip to the Bermuda Triangle by mistake—can you believe that? He ends up washed up on the secret island of Lilliput, which is home to these tiny, tiny little people. At first, those persistent little Lilliputians actually lock him up, but things turn around when he somehow becomes their big hero! Through this wild adventure and some totally unexpected new friendships, Gulliver eventually realizes that you can't really judge a person's true size just by looking at them from the outside, right?

This is just awful 🤦

Since this is based on one of those famous fairy tales, it might actually turn out alright. Then again, it doesn't feel super "original," especially since you've got Jack Black leading the charge, and we all know his main thing is just going for the laughs. I honestly have my doubts if he's really the right guy for this role.

Have you even seen the trailer? Man, they are clearly turning this film into some cheap, mindless joke of a comedy that you'll watch once and forget, though honestly, if we're lucky, it might actually be watchable at all.

I mean, I'll take your word for it. When you're talking about Jack Black, he's basically the gold standard for comedy language.

Judging by that trailer, it looks like an absolute train wreck...👎 I’ve never been able to stand Jack Black, and I’ve never had much patience for this kind of flick either... so there's zero chance I'm sitting through this one.

But that's just how things go now. It's way easier to churn out some infantile nonsense for the masses than to actually craft something beautiful and imaginative, like that 90s version of Gulliver's Travels was...

Why on earth couldn't they have just put together a dignified adaptation of the books, covering all four volumes properly??? 😢

So, this movie has been floating around the torrent sites for a few days now 👍 ...and hey, if you feel like grabbing it, go for it, but I'm personally passing. 😁

Just kidding, obviously I'll end up downloading it once a decent DivX or H.264 version actually pops up, because there is absolutely no way I'm sitting through some grainy, bottom-of-the-barrel cam version just to see if it's even remotely fun on a first watch—which, let's be honest, I'm already skeptical about, so yeah, that's why I'm holding out until then.

Man, I totally blanked on this movie! Has anyone actually summoned the courage—and found enough spare time to just kill an afternoon—to sit down and watch it?

I’m not exactly a huge Jack Black fan, so I might be biased here. Having seen the movie, I can't help but wonder what kind of version Tim Burton would have cooked up. That would have been a film worth watching.

That novel isn't some fairy tale... it’s a biting satire on the political climate of the US back then and on the entire human race itself.

But no, they had to go and throw in robots and have that total idiot playing the lead... 🙂

Alright, I’m taking back what I said about this movie actually having potential. Looking at the trailer, it honestly just feels like another one of those cheap comedies—or more accurately, just a total parody of the original story.

Just finished watching this 😁. What a riot! My absolute favorite part had to be when he put out that fire—well, by peeing on it, technically 🤣
. This remake is actually fantastic; I was honestly dying laughing during certain scenes.
