It’s a decent flick, though nothing to write home about... I dug the opening, and I have to say, seeing the Navajo soldier looking all unmotivated and well-mannered actually gave me a good laugh, plus Chomber was absolutely legendary and definitely pulled off a great role here.

A decent sequel—definitely an improvement over the third one, though it feels like they just shot whatever action scenes they could around the Kremlin and Dubai. Just another Cruise movie where they blow up a church, only this time it's an Orthodox one. What else am I going to remember this movie for? Oh, right—that chick fight in the Burj Khalifa! 😁 I think I'll go hunt down another film starring Lea Seydoux. 😍

😁 😁 I'm with you! 😁

Personally, I found the movie pretty entertaining... Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely worth a watch. If not for the chick fight or the gorgeous lead actress, then at least for those incredible locations they used for filming!

This is easily the best action spectacle we've seen in ages. It honestly feels like the 90s are back—it’s got that specific vibe, almost like a spiritual successor to *True Lies*. That exact style.

As soon as the movie kicks off, you’re already laughing. The very first person we see on screen is this Navajo soldier—who, honestly, is just this soft, doughy guy—yet he’s out there trying his hardest to play the part of some gritty, dangerous Russian mobster. It's ridiculous. 🤣
Here's another funny little detail—when Cruise goes undercover as that Russian general, he actually ends up looking exactly like Sherbedzhija. Even if it wasn't intentional, the resemblance in those scenes is honestly uncanny.
Lately, I’ve noticed Hollywood blockbusters seem to be dropping references to America way more often than they used to... Is it just a coincidence, or are we finally becoming the go-to backdrop for the big screen?

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011) 3.5-4/5 - TRAILER
Pretty solid sequel. It’s got that spy action vibe in the style of James Bond—actually, because of all the crazy gadgets and over-the-top stunts, it felt more like a Bond movie than the recent Bond films do. Cruise gave 110% as usual, and the rest of the crew held their own. Renner is a worthy successor if they ever decide to swap him in for Cruise (and I have a feeling he'd be a more convincing Bourne than Damon). Like many others, I was surprised to see Navajo soldier and Miraj Grbic show up, and having the US mentioned a few times too. As for the plot, nothing groundbreaking there, but IMO it’s a win that after a long time, the main villain actually wants to nuke America... haven't seen a nuclear threat in a movie for ages lol...
The third one is still the best in the series IMO, but this isn't far behind... a sequel worthy of the title and the whole franchise IMO... and like always with M:I films, it's a blast...

Personally, I thought the movie was fantastic. The cinematography is just stunning; there are moments where you genuinely feel like you’ve been dropped right into the middle of the action, especially during those sequences driving through the desert, and of course, that iconic scene at the Burj Khalifa. It’s got such great tension that the two-hour runtime just seemed to vanish. 😁

Lisa Miller9 said:Damn movie. The action was spot on—not too much, not too little. Tammy is still killing it, even if you can start seeing those 50-something years creeping in. The humor landed well, and Simon Pegg absolutely crushes it. The female lead is hot, and the new agent is pretty good too. The villain felt a bit weak, but honestly, who cares? That mention of America was just annoying 🙏 🙏 the final scene where his old tech guy, that Black dude, shows up 🙂

Damn movie. 👍

I'm totally with you on this—the movie is absolute fire. Seriously, everything from the cast to the action sequences was spot on, and man, that humor? Perfection. 😂Listen, locations matter. Seriously. 🙏 Powerful.
The only real downside is that those BMWs show up out of nowhere—but honestly, an i8 is exactly the kind of ride you’d see in a Mission: Impossible movie, and seeing BMWs all over the place around the Arabs isn't even surprising at this point. (By the way, was that the 650i or the 640i?) 😁Honestly, I find those car commercials tucked into movies so incredibly stupid. Like, give me a break.
It’s like that guy in a Bond film—driving a Montego, then you see the woman in a Ford Flex later on. 🤦
Mostly MI4 — ABSOLUTELY KILLER!!!

I felt that James Bond energy while watching MI4 too, especially with all that jumping from one city to the next and the constant postcard views of different locales...
I was also pleasantly surprised, if not downright thrilled, by what I saw...
They didn't overdo the action, and most importantly, the movie wasn't boring for even a single second...

9/10

Honestly, both the movie and Tom are just genius. It might even be his best work in the whole Mission: Impossible series so far, though let's be real—they're all pretty damn good. 🙂

Yeah, it’s a blast—an action movie with zero filler. I don't want to overanalyze this since everyone's already said their piece, but I found it weird how much of a total amateur that Russian agent was; he was basically like Sipowicz from NYPD Blue, just completely out of his league. 🤷 Still, compared to the first one, it's the best entry in the franchise.

It didn't quite hit the level of the Bourne series for me, but it definitely set a high bar for the upcoming Bourne and Taken sequels coming out in a few months.

Just finished watching this—it’s an excellent film. Within its genre, I’d give it a solid 8/10... Honestly, this just became my favorite M:I film since the first one (which might actually be the best action movie ever made, mostly because it carries so much nostalgia for me). I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by this installment... The addition of humor works perfectly with the pacing and the plot, and don't even get me started on the lead actress... wow.

They really should have done a bit more homework on the details.

I live in Dubai, and when Tom Cruise scales the Burj Khalifa, there aren't any tents scattered around like they showed in the movie. It’s all luxury villas and the Dubai Mall; nothing could look better than that. When I was at the theater and they played the sequence where he runs down the Burj Khalifa followed by that sandstorm, the whole audience started laughing.

As for that sandstorm, 🙂 I honestly don't even want to get into it—good grief.

It’s an entertaining action flick and I love the series, so I’ll be looking forward to the next M:I film with the same level of excitement.
Everything worked well for me—the plot, the locations, the tension, even the over-the-top moments. My only issue was the villain. It wasn't the actor—he was actually a great casting choice—but the character itself felt underwhelming. He didn't feel like a genuine threat to me, even when he had a nuclear weapon in his hands. 😁Also, their showdown was a bit of a yawn; I expected more from a sophisticated professor, perhaps a touch more finesse.
The third one is still significantly better.

I don't get it, why wouldn't it be a sandstorm? 🤷

Look, I get that this stuff is super rare—some guy in the comments mentioned he saw three happen in six years—and the odds of one kicking up right as they’re walking out of the Burj Khalifa are slim to none. But still, anything can happen.

I didn't say sandstorms don't happen, but they certainly don't look quite like that.

"Sandstorms" are actually pretty common around here; every time the wind picks up, there's sand in the air, visibility drops, and it just feels like you're driving through heavy fog.

But that cinematic moment where a massive sandstorm "approaches"? That definitely doesn't look anything like how they staged it in the movie.

Honestly, none of the previous installments even come close to this fourth mission.
Kudos to the team for pulling off such an unparalleled action sequence!

I’ve always been a fan of the Mission: Impossible films, but honestly? The latest one was a total pleasant surprise. From the acting and the stunts to the special effects and the actual plot... everything just clicked. It all worked for me. 8/10
