Honestly, that's a great time slot for a show like this—perfect for just unwinding!

I honestly cannot wrap my head around how any of you find that term acceptable.
I mean, sure—it’s fine if we’re talking about life up in Alaska, which I’ll happily watch at any hour of the day or night if I have the chance—but in a general sense? The term is absolutely disastrous... there really isn't any reason to be proud of it, if you ask me.

Mom, I agree that the timing is terrible, but since PBS has already scheduled the news for 12:35 AM, having my favorite show right before that would actually be quite helpful.

I suppose if one were obsessed with life up in Alaska, they might find any hour suitable to tune in—assuming one actually had the opportunity to watch—but generally speaking, the scheduling is an absolute disaster; there is really no reason to take pride in such a decision.
The series itself is wonderful, quite charming and all that, but let’s be honest: it has already cycled through PBS Kids two or three times now. It would be downright disrespectful to dump it into some nonsensical time slot when they could be prioritizing more conventional programming or, heaven forbid, actually investing in acquiring new seasons.

I certainly wasn't expecting them to dump a rerun during prime time 😁, though I suppose a more reasonable time slot would have been preferred.
As for PBS and their complete lack of any sense when it comes to scheduling programming... honestly, I won't even dignify that with a comment.

It would be downright insulting to give it a decent primetime slot when they won't even let relatively decent series finish their runs, much less invest in picking up new seasons.
So why is it that those Cosbyesque, recycled pieces of nonsense are always shoved into the afternoon lineup?

Sure, everything else is fine—the replay, all that jazz—but claiming the timing is actually "perfect" is, at the very least, laughable.

I am honestly counting down the minutes until tonight—this series was absolutely gripping when I first binged it years ago. It’s been ages since I revisited it, so I won’t be stuck in that tedious "rerun" slump where you feel like you've seen it all before... I think I still have the main plot points tucked away somewhere in my brain, though the finer details are a complete blur by now. At least I'll finally have something decent to watch on 😍

I realize I am drifting slightly off-topic here, but please, do not take this the wrong way—I am certainly not an apologist for FOX. In my estimation, the network has been in a steady state of decline for quite some time now. My point was merely that scheduling a rerun in such a "peculiar" time slot actually makes sense from a purely logistical standpoint.
This is a network that once had massive hits like Underfoot airing at two in the morning, so frankly, I find it rather baffling that people are acting so surprised by this.

Did anyone catch the premiere? 😁
I turned in by 11 PM... 😳 It's pointless to be annoyed—I have the DVD anyway—but still...

The time slot is honestly a joke—it’s starting at 11:50 PM tonight!! Seriously, this show deserves a much better slot so people who haven't seen it yet actually have a chance to watch. In a sea of mediocre garbage, this series is a total breath of fresh air. Wouldn't 10:00 or 10:30 PM make way more sense? It was so good hearing those opening notes again... and man, seeing Rob Morrow in this compared to Law & Order... he was so young and convincing back then.

I was watching last night—it cut right in during the middle of an episode of Fire—but I just couldn't look away from the opening credits. I’d honestly forgotten how incredible that soundtrack is. Even though I thought I had the series memorized, it turns out I didn't remember the first episode at all 😍 Rob Morrow is fantastic; he looked so young back then, almost as naive as Dr. Fleischman, that Jew from Flushing, Queens (it seems like most of the struggling Jews in New York live around there, much like a nanny 😉). I just really hope we don't deal with any more of those blackouts like the two we had on the screen last night.
