Watched it last night and man, just wow. Even though this show is twenty years old, it still holds up perfectly!

Twenty years ago? I wouldn't go that far... it hasn't really been that long since '91.

It’s a little less than that, but you know what I mean—just round it off a bit, haha!

I caught some of it last night—didn't see the whole thing from the jump, but honestly, who cares? It’s such a great show. I actually watched it a while back, and apparently, they decided to bring it back on 👍

Here’s a new TV channel for the slot :2up: Obviously I couldn't sit through the whole thing, mostly because they kept badgering us with that garbage "Marriage Waters" segment and some idiotic game right before it. They can get lost. 😠

Oh, Cicely, you’ve really done it now—I completely forgot just how fantastic this series is. It’s such an absolute treat, and don't even get me started on that soundtrack! It's pure bliss.👍👍

This timing is perfect for me. I can catch up on the show and then head straight to sleep 😁
Honestly, it's my first time watching and I'm already hooked 😍 It’s such a chill vibe... it actually reminds me of one of my favorite classic American period dramas: Wind at my back 😍
I'm counting down the hours until tonight

That was a truly wonderful premiere; my only minor grievance is that I found myself missing Chris.

Does anyone remember how that whole thing with the little guys played out? When exactly do they show up? 🤔

The "natives"—they were right there in the very first episode; they're basically the ones who founded the town. 😉 They called it Roslyn and Cicely (though Roslyn is actually just the town where they filmed the series, and it isn't located in Alaska 😉 ).

I am not entirely certain that was his intention. Later on, a group of folks arrives looking to purchase either the house or some acreage—I can't recall the exact details—and while Maurice initially pushes back against the idea, he eventually agrees to the sale. If memory serves, there are still a few more episodes involving them, but I will refrain from providing any further spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet.

Oh, right! I remember now, but I think that happens much later in the series.

SPOILER!!!!!!

I think it’s those two, Ron and Erick. If I recall correctly, they pop up toward the end of season 5. They run some kind of bed & breakfast over in Cicely...

khm🙂 "One thing you can count on there is no hidden agenda with this man. Maurice Minnifield is not going to stab you in the back. No your going to see him plunge that dagger right into your belly, pull it up and twist and twist until your guts spill right out onto your shoes. Maurice my dear friend you are a homophobe and a bigot but you have a truly marvellous aesthetic and a truly superb collection of Gershwin LP's." Ron

Hey everyone, I was just looking at the teletext on the new TV and noticed it says there are only seven episodes left... is this some kind of shortened version they're airing?
Or does the first season just end that quickly?

I noticed that too... and it looks like they even have the programming schedule listed for 911 🤣

Honestly, I can’t quite remember the last time I sat down to binge this series, but is it just me, or does the timeline move at warp speed? It feels like by the second episode, we've already jumped forward several weeks 😕

Or does the first season just consist of that few?

The first season features eight episodes, whereas the second contains seven, before the subsequent seasons expand significantly to over twenty episodes each.

Thanks, everyone. Yeah, I was thinking of those two, but since I watched this so long ago, I wasn't sure if they were from this series or something else... thanks again! 😘
