Everything is rated 5 stars—but unfortunately, they stopped releasing after season 3. There are still seasons 4, 5, and 6 out there... :-(

Neither do I. 🤷Most people probably wouldn't even remember the soundtrack from a show that aired back in the mid-90s anyway. The only track that actually stuck with me—and I am certain it is from the original score—is D. W. Suite / Lindsey Buckingham - Go Insane, which plays during that episode where all the men are running naked through Cicely (Spring break). 😬

It’s ironic that DVD sales for NX in Canada don't face these kinds of restrictions. It sounds bizarre, I know. But I stumbled upon something online—maybe on Amazon or some other site, I can't quite recall—noting that the Canadian releases are perfectly fine. Specifically, this applies to the music during those pivotal scenes:

That scene during the "renaissance" where Maurice plays the guitar on the roof.

Holling places a cross on Jesseov's grave.

The end of Crime and Punishment. That moment when Chris finally confronts who he really is.

When Maurice decides he’d rather leap off a waterfall than let a heart attack take him out, he takes action.

They can't just pull Northern Exposure off the air because of some trashy show like Nikita that nobody even watches, or because of those scammers over at some shady cable network. To hell with their capitalist greed...

Hmm... I actually think Nikita is perfectly fine. I've seen much worse shows out there...

No, I have to agree... Northern Exposure is the GOAT... unless we're talking about Malcolm in the Middle or maybe the Inspector Montalbano series.... :-)

Why on earth would they air such an incredible show at these crazy hours? Like, hello? Some of us actually have lives and things to do in the morning!

Exactly, that’s my dilemma too... recording them is the only way out... :-)

On a side note... I need some help here. I'm certain someone else out there is still recording this show, because I somehow managed to miss two episodes:

5.6 "birds of a Feather" and this new one from yesterday:
5.7 "Rosebud".

If you're too embarrassed to upload the files, at least point me toward some American subtitles for these two episodes, because I haven't been able to track them down in any decent quality...

Look, this post might get me banned, but I'll take the risk... I'm genuinely gutted that I missed them.

Does anyone feel like uploading episodes 2 and 3 from the first season for me? I’m trying to avoid buying the entire season if I don't have to, but I need actual DVD quality. I tried downloading a rip online, but the picture quality is an absolute disaster. Anyone?

Does anyone happen to know when the rest will hit the stands at the local newsstands?

Ed is an absolute legend 🙏

Maurice leaves him in charge of the house for a few days and he ends up throwing a massive blowout for the whole crew... puts on Mauricov's designer coat, acting all high and mighty... drains the entire wine cellar dry... orders some fancy tulips where every single petal costs ten bucks... gets fired on the spot, only for Maurice to hire him right back just so he can work off the tab 🙏

He’ll wear Maurice's designer coat—looking all fancy—drain the entire wine cellar dry, and order overpriced flowers at ten bucks a petal. He'll get fired, obviously—but then Maurice will just hire him back until he works off the debt. 🙏

👍
This Thursday, I am finally sitting down to watch the 100th episode after all this time! 🙂

Imagine if Maurice left his house in his care for just a few days, and instead of watching the place, he throws this massive blowout party for the whole crew. He’d probably end up wearing Maurice’s designer coat, treating himself like royalty while completely draining the entire wine cellar. He might even order a bunch of fancy tulips at ten bucks a petal! He'll likely get fired for it, but then Maurice will just hire him right back until he works off everything he spent.🙏

Haha😬 Ed is honestly the best

But seriously, what is the deal with Joel and Meggie? Are they ever actually going to get married so we can finally move past this? It's driving me absolutely crazy.😠😠😠

The show just hasn't been "it" anymore, I guess. It started sliding away somewhere around episode 43 when Mike joined the cast. Maybe there were a few decent episodes here and there after that, but the quality has mostly just been tanking since then.

If my memory serves me correctly, there should be about ten episodes remaining.
