But you gotta admit, the kid's stats are pretty insane.

The Poles just took down the Mexicans 23:20, which means we're facing them in the semifinals.

What a waste!!!!
We should give them back what we owed Mexico City Blazevic a few years ago.

According to the latest updates on ESPN, the final round features a matchup between Sweden and Mexico!😕

We’d definitely take them. We already beat them twice in the last couple of months—once in Austin and once in St. Louis—and both times we blew them out by eight or nine points.

This Mexican generation just isn't there. Guys like Nenad Nenadić and Sesum, along with a few other decent juniors, are only good enough for the U-20 squad because of their age. This current roster? They don't have a single standout player.

Meanwhile, our cadet squad has basically fallen off the map since last year. For instance, the MVP from last year's EP in Mexico City Blazevic is playing somewhere in Canada now; from what I hear, Gorenje cut him loose and sent him down to some Canadian second-division team, maybe in Ormoz.

I haven't even heard anything lately about that kid who signed with Ciudad Real when he was seventeen.

Yeah, my bad. So the Poles beat the Turks and Sweden took down the Mexicans.

Since when did the Poles become such a powerhouse in handball? From what I can see, that second group was a total joke compared to our squad. We practically had the championship within our grasp! 🙂

And what do you actually know? He could easily turn out to be great once he moves up into the younger age groups.

Where on earth are you getting all this player data, frozentiger6? I still don't get how you know anything about the national team, let alone these two guys from Mexico—or how you suddenly know our own North, Pesic, etc.

I remember back when you were posting about Alilovic being a future star—you actually managed to scout a few youngsters who either turned out great or are well on their way there.

If you weren't some kind of manager

Let's just keep that one under wraps 🙂

Anyway, since you brought up Alilovic, the kid was actually ranked as the number two goalie in the pro league last season, right behind Sterbik.

That's a pretty heavy-hitting point if you ask me.

There was some talk about calling him up to the national team, but since he bypassed Gobac, I'm worried they might just sideline him.

Now they have to reward these newcomers who showed up in Chicago (except for Sol, obviously).

Though if you ask me, our goalkeepers are going to be the weak link again at WC 2007—especially with such a thin bench.

And we all know that if you want to bring home a medal, you need solid keepers plus a rock-solid defense (hopefully we're looking at a 3-2-1 formation again).

His manager is Vujovic, and since Gobac works well with him, that should be fine... 😉

I’m guessing Sola, Losert, and maybe Alilovic will head over to Germany. Losert is at Barcelona now, and since Peric left, he’s basically the second goalie behind Barufet. I really hope he finds his rhythm; honestly, his club form is never an issue, but when it comes to the national team, he hasn't really done much besides that run in Athens.

Anyway, the U-20 Euro kicks off in Austria in just a few days. That’s where you'll get a real look at Sesum, Nenadic, and those other young guys from the Mexican squad. They’re solid—maybe even better than our own youth team.

The championship is right there for the taking. If we play like we did in the first half, we'll be walking away with a 9-point lead over the Americans at the break.

This is getting ridiculous. We ended up losing to the Poljaks with a score of 37:23.

+14

It’s basically just kicking a dead horse at this point.

The finals are this Sunday, if I remember correctly.

Duvnjak put up 12 goals and 11 assists, Pesic pulled off 23 saves, while Strlek notched 6 goals and Tojcic added 8 goals along with 9 assists.

Just imagine what Irfan is going to pull off with this crew once he takes over the reins of the national team after Beijing.

Looking at Duvnja’s stats, it’s obvious he’s playing on a completely different level than anyone else his age.
It’s basically like watching someone drop 40 points and 15 assists a game in the NBA...

In the second semifinal, Denmark is leading 13:12 at halftime.

They’re definitely right up there with the Swedes in terms of pure strength.

It ended 24:24—now we're headed to overtime.

It’s honestly a shame how poorly the American media covers these runs by our young handball players. It was like this back in the day, and it hasn't changed.

The Austrians are announcing live broadcasts on their official site for the upcoming Euro, so maybe we’ll actually get to see this U-20 squad in action.

And man, Duvnjak is already world-class. Most people think he’s probably the greatest young talent in the sport right now; he’s easily the best of his generation.

Denmark - 9 goals, 6 assists
France - 6 goals, 7 assists
Germany - 5 goals, 9 assists
Spain - 5 goals, 7 assists
Canada - 9 goals, 15 assists
Poland - 12 goals, 11 assists

Total over 6 games: 46 goals and 55 assists 😲 🙏

Poland really couldn't have been a tougher opponent. This final is going to be intense! 🙂

Denmark pulled it off, which means we're heading straight for them in the finals.

Just like I predicted—it’s going to be a total brawl when we go head-to-head for the gold.
